Post Dominion War Excelsior Bridge
« on: October 02, 2008, 10:48:55 AM »
I've been busy last few weeks and it's doubtfully it'll change cuz I've just got new job and school so I have even more limited time than I used to have :( but there are some good news :D I've started another WIP while having about ten WIPs not yet finished  - typical for me :D
I'm especially pround of LCARS on this one, it took me a 2 weeks (about 1 hour of work on them per day... as I said... limited time :P ) front wall remained untouched as well as ships hull/shields status display but enough of talking :D let the pics speak for themselves

btw. I'm not sure about walls/chairs etc. color scheme so any opinions are more than welcome ;)

He and I share the same philosophy that most bridges are not going to be the roomy sets found on series flagship bridges (which was needed for camera space) but rather were like the Battle Bridge or other sets redressed from that set.

Plus, it makes it easier on the texturer, as you don't have to do nearly as many panels :D.

I was about to say it :D

It was the most suitable bridge for PDW Excelsior IMO, tho I will be making Prometheus bridge variant tho still need to decide for which ship it will be, it will use NEM blue LCARS ;)

Is it me, or is the PDW Excelsior tilting slightly upwards?

nah I don't think so tho the nacelles may look like tilting upwards but so did nacelles on sovereign ;) what about the color scheme ? should I paint it the way Nem Sov bridge was or leave it the way it is now ?

I like it now. It's very spartan and war-like.

Glad you like it :) my goal was to make a mix of defiant/TNG excelsior/sovereign bridge textures with cream/light blue color scheme, i'll focus now on front wall and ship status display also main MSD heeds some additional displays. Lightmapping is too sharp and thus kinda pixelated so i'll need to sooth it a bit. I will soup screenies when finished ;)

I meant the whole thing was sorta saucer up, warpies down. It wasn't equal like - that. More like / that except nowhere near as steep.

The whole thing is looking great though.

Hi all !
Sorry I kept you waiting so long, school/work/family - life stuff slowed me down drastically but I'm haveing holiday from 24th Dec till 5th Jan '09 so I'll have more time to finish works on this bridge (I'm pretty close to finish it btw.)

Now to point, I've encountered some problems with Ships status (display infront of viewscreen - showing hull/shields status during battle) I've drew PDW Excelsior shape and replaced Ambassador shape with it but Excelsior shape appears only in these places where Ambassador icon was so it's cut in few places like nacelles etc. I'll post pics of it as soon as I'll get back home.

Are you making a different MSD screen since that is not an Excelsior MSD you have there?
Can't wait for 2014 to start.
