Tada.

Limey rendered it since my machine just isn't quite up to scratch to dealing with heavy render animations. Its also his TARDIS model as well. :)

Always loved that version of the theme. Never was much for the logo, though.

Great work.

Now for my favourite Trek ship. :) Ignore the filename.

Spray Particle system, a 2 Sided CRTorpcore.tga in the Diffuse, Self Ilummination and Opacity slots in the Material Editor and the Timing Start at -100. That should be about it. :)

EDIT: New images.

This was just an idea I had floating around in my head. It's still a work in progress.

". . . floating around in my head." :P :funny

It looks to me like you dropped a 20" model in the drink.  Is that what you were going for?  Beautiful render! :yay:

I thought that too.

Water could do with being scaled down, or the Sov scaled up.

Love the concept though, and, other than the scale, the render is fantastic.

The main reason I thought "20 inch model" was because of the depth of field.  The focal point of the image is somewhere around the bridge, and the nacelles are blurred a bit.  This fools the eye into seeing this as a closeup image, since things close to you require very different depth perceptions than things farther from you.  So if you want to make if feel "bigger", change the depth perception.

Erm, no. The ripples in the water are simply far too large for a ship the size of the Sovie.

Erm, no. The ripples in the water are simply far too large for a ship the size of the Sovie.

In reduced gravity (perhaps 0.1-0.25 g) the ripples in water grow to be larger than they would be in a standard 1 g environment.  So perhaps the Enterprise crashed on a low-gravity world.

Change either one, and see which makes the image more believable.  You're eye can't get around the focal point issue, but your logical brain can make up excuses for why the ripples are so large.

It is a damned fine render though. Beautiful quality.
