Breen Damper cause gamecrash

Hy I have a problem with FoundationTech's Damper Weapon, when I board a ship equipted with the special torpedo, after I disable a ship the game crash the moment when I try to destroy it. This error also appear in the ATP1 version  of the script. When my ship is disabled with the weapon and destroyed the game will not crush. I compared the Damper Weapon scrip to the Breen Drain weapon script from kobayashimaru, and the problem has to do something with the disabled warp core. Please help somehow, cause I'd like to use this tech in a new mod that includes a Breen Frigate, and without this it's not as good as it could be. Thanks!

The problem is known, but to me, I haven't been able to reproduce it yet.

But if you say this was also in the ATP1 version, then I can compare it.


Have you tried turning ATP off before you try this?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

ATP 1 in BC supermod 3.0 so it is in a different installation.

Yes, but FTech is kinda the natural evolution from ATP (it was inspired by it) and it ported a lot of techs from ATP to FTech, so if the breen damper weapon has similar code, say, the same error, then it will show when compared.

Nothing yet.

But now that I know it also happens in ATP1, I can crosscheck to see why it is doing this. Because, as I said before, I couldn't reproduce it.

Then I'm glad I could help to reveal this little error in ATP. Will Excalibur feature any technology core like Foundation Technologies? I hope we will see many good old techs from the ATP/Ftech line. Oh one other thing, If we abort quickbattle then restart QB then foundation thec does not load, and when the ablative armour is destroyed even the starbase dock can't put it back on the ship :(

FoundationTech should load, TBH, it isn't something that loads per mission. But per ship/projectile.
I'll look into it.


Things about Excalibur are still uncertain.


About the AA and starbases, yes, this is a known issue, but not easily solved.
