That slab of armour is new. :)

I'm going with the similar panelling and armour that the Sovereign Class uses :).  She'll look awesome when finished :D

Any chance of alternate textures included without armour paneling?

It looks awesome but some people might not be partial to armour paneling.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Well, does anyone have any good references to the steamrunner?? Is the Armour not accurate?

Not trying to sound rude or anything, but yeah, I'm wanting this to be as accurate as possible.  I mean it looks to have similar texture style as the Sovereign.  I could be wrong!

It does have armour panelling, but from the limited views of it in First Contact, it wasn't that dark.

Then I guess I have no choice but to release two sets of textures then :P.? They'll be in the extras :)

The main textures will have the darker armour plating however, as I feel that they're more accurate and honestly look better :).  They're also gonna look more like the Sovereign class' armour than they already are :D.

We don't really know that for sure though, it's all speculation LOL So I guess we can call this a bit of artistic license :).? I'm also going by the blueprints from the Star Trek Magazine.

Either way, there will be two sets of textures with this ship, one with lighter armour and one with the darker armour (the darker armour being the main ones that will be used with this pack)

There's a couple of CG shots of the Steamrunner over at Ex Astris Scientra in the First Contact starship gallery but they don't look half as good as your's! :D

Piccy doesn't show up JTK.

It says:

Your illegal attempt to Hotlink has failed!"

So no hotlinking :(

As for the pic itself: I think someone needs to watch FC again. That deflector is far too wide and the bussards too small

ah remember the Steamrunner was also seen multiple times in DS9.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

It's a design I've always liked for some reason and Eclipse is certainly doing her justice!

Thank you!  I'm working hard on this one LOL.  And Nebula is right it was seen in a lot of episodes during the Dominion wars.  I've been working on this even more, but pics will be up shortly :).

Well I've figured out how to use the Liquify tool in photoshop (YAY!) Made things easier for the transporter pads :D? I may end up using it for the escape pods too, just to get practice with it :)

Comparison shots!

EDIT:  Or not on the escape pods...

She does indeed have that paneling, but unless significant changes were made to her in DS9, I don't think the panels were ever that dark.  I'm going from memory here though, so I could be wrong.  Let me see what I can find for reference images.

EDIT:
Wow.  Shots of this ship are hard to come by!  Anyway, here are a few I found:

From First Contact:

While I have no idea how accurate it really is, this looks like a good shot of the CG model from FC:

This sight has a a bunch of stills from First Contact:
http://www.shiporama.org/steamrunner.htm

Oh, and don't be fooled by the size of the bussard collectors.  A lot of the red you see in the images from FC are actually just glows reflected off the surrounding hull.

Hope this helps you a bit.

Phaser is right Eclipse, your Bussards seem too big.
