I think the size is like 2X that of a defiant.

that is saucer space alone hmmm

Hmmm...have to research that one...Isn't the Defiant around 120 metres?

I would use the fleet charts at Ex Astris Scientia to scale the ships.

I feel they're much more accurate than LCARS.

Thanks JB!  :) Now to weld and convert...if I can do it with Max 8 (Max 3.1 is giving me hell...)

hmm everyone thinks the defiant only has 4 decks... I think it has 6 so I think its a bit bigger...
but anyway... looking at the fleet charts... says the steamrunner is 355m
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Thanks y'all I'm just trying to do the C2/P81 justice. I'm also considering modeling in the running lights much like Scotchy did with the P81 Akira.  Any objections to that one? :D :P

If you do that, look at how phaser did his (in the TCMP), so you can make them blink.

If you're referring to animations I've thought of that!  Save from having to use NanoFX for those who don't have it :).  I might do the same thing with the Sovereign as well.

Please do, I thought it was super neat, and it allows you to have blinkers flashing at different speeds.

I'm a bit rusty, but I'd be happy to help you out with animations.  I have the TCMP ships in max format, so I can walk you through it.  Just give me a nudge on MSN.

I really like the dark panels on the steamrunner, it makes it look fierce and gives the ship a hole diffrent feel, I love it

I'm working on putting the navigational lights on both the Sovereign and the Steamrunner, I'll also be doing the same with the Norway.  Phaser was kind enough to show me how to do those animations!  I'm hoping that they work, I haven't tried yet.  Once I boolean everything together and weld (just have to figure the welding thing out though) I'll see if someone will assist me in converting this to .NIF (I don't think I'll have a problem with the Sovereign...as I already have that in the 3.1 Max format!  with no smoothing errors.)

Trying to work fast on the Steamrunner, I've got the running lights on the top saucer booleaned and mapped out (that includes that special animation ;)).  Next thing I'm working on is the bottom saucer, then I'll work on the secondary hull and Nacelles and then the model will officially be finished!!!!
