Now, upside down Sov nacelles may not look right, but unless you do what the Kelvin does (which is come in more from the side), it would look worse attaching to the top, where the warp grill is.

lol I'm in a can't win situation. if I have the nacelles right way up the pylons are to curvy but If I go for a traditional pylon and invert the nacelles it looks like a intergalatic sled.

Well the nacelles are staying upside down. It is space it won't matter besides looks more sleek.

Looking nice, Baz, cookie for you. :)
You may want to apply the Smooth Modifier though, and tick the "Auto-Smooth" Box.  You'd be surprised how much of a difference it can make :)

You probably are really getting tired of my "advice".
Well, here it comes.

Recess the deflector more into the pod, more like the Sovereign's.

All-in all, looks Great. :D do you plan to texture in some phaser strips, on the top of the pod?

Has any one got any sovereign class textures I can apply to my ship (Saucer and Nacelles)?

Full credit will be given in the release though I may have to alter slightly.

Try asking Chronicidal Guy (maker of a very good Sovereign) for Sovie textures. You can then chop and paste to your hearts desire.

That's a good idea for sure!  Those textures would look really great on your model.  I'm loving the design!

CG's textures are free reign as long as credits are given.  no need to ask for permission :)

Turning out great Baz, but I need to make a suggestion.

The top of the saucer, there's a flat spot on the top where the bridge is, you might wanna curve that our, or add something to cover that spot.

agreed, much of deck 2/3 is flattened in your model. if you want the basic idea, simply look at eclipse's signature

Very nice starship. Unfortunately, there is already a Phobos-class that is a TMP era refit of the FASA Locknar-class. IIRC there is already a model with that name on Bridge Commander Files.

Actual I did google this before I used the name the Loknar-class refit is called the USS Phobos. That is the ships name not its class.

If you are quoting the expanded universe wiki page it does state the Phobos class is the same as the USS Phobos, but all Reference else where call the USS Phobos a Loknar-class. Also they call the Connie re-fit an Enterprise class, which is not canon.

In short I'm not changing the name, as if this ship works in the game I make a sister class Deimos.

Hmm.  Just wondering...
Do the turbolifts go through the pylon, or is the crew beamed to the pod?  Cause it has escape pods.

I'm assuming with scale the roll bar is at least 1 deck high so there would be turbolift access
