Lol, that video was hilarious, except for the part where they bashed Gene Roddenberry.  That was heartless. :(

... Hardly. Just a matter of how you look at it (Which, given the origin of the video...)

Anyone taking this seriously really needs to relax. It's a joke.. You don't like it, move on, and don't spoil the fun for the rest of us.

It lost its charm when it portrayed all Trekkers as morons.

It became insulting when it called Gene a hack. Joke or not, have we thrown repect out the window for a joke? I hope none of the Roddenberrys see this, especially considering Majel just joined him.

"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Just so I'm not misunderstood - I count myself among the ranks of trekkies too. Well, anyone who has an account on these boards more then likely qualifies :)

Here's how you can be funny, make fun of Trekkers and not be a dickhead in the process. (read: not cross the line.)
