Very cool, and great to see that shuttle getting some love for the first time in a while!

Hmmm...MVAM guys who know their stuff, is there maybe a way to have 2 different kinds of separation, one for emergencies that can't reintegrate and one for normal?  Cause while true to the original intent of the Connies separation, it would be kind of annoying...

I would have thought use the lifeboat script and call the saucer mesh up as the pod, the secondary hull would explode leave a saucer on its own?

As it is I can just delete the redock function from the script to prevent redocking.

If you are going to use MVAM scripting the the Refit Connie, you might want to add a texture inside of the ship when it seperates, because you currently have plain hull showing inside.

Way ahead of you. Just making sure the system works before I mess about with textures.

Question, when the Connie Seperates does the drive section just float around in space? Cause if they did separate the drive train would just float around.

I think the sec hull floating around being uselss is actually a good idea. If the saucer seperation is only for emergencyies, why should it even move? It's gonna blow cappin! :P

In the current version I have stuck the impulse HPs inside the nacelles. So at the moment the drive section can move under impulse.

If the general opinon is to have the drive section disabled then I will go with it. Though Dalekanium2 had better be ready for me to bug him again about the HP's :D

Simple really. Don't give the secondary hull impulse engines. Although you might want to ask someone else how to make it literally dead in the water and not shooting things as it spins through space...

Just an opinion really but wouldnt the stardrive still have thrusters?

They're all placed on the saucer.

With Xtended you can set the crew number to 0, rendering the ship disabled.

They're all placed on the saucer.

Untrue!  The warp engines have thrusters on the fins and there are four sets of thrusters around the deflector dish.  It ain't fast, but it doesn't take much to aim a photon torpedo launcher at an opponent who thinks the secondary hull is dead in the water.

Shouldn't it be a little bit wider?

Actually it looks spot on compared to the schematics I have.
