Just disable the propulsion stuff, it looks stupid. it was just a script stuff in the first episode to move the station to the wormhole. They never did it again otherwise they could move the station to every fight.

Although not seen onscreen, there was this one episode, where the station was being "dragged" towards the wormhole. After the dragging stopped, they needed to move the station back to it's "original" position at the mouth of the wormhole.

So yes, movement is canon, movement is possible. Flying around like a starship? Not a chance in hell. It should have -limited- movement at most. If it were me, i'd include two separate hardpoints: One with "thruster" movemenet, one without (i.e stationary).

Not to mention the station rotates itself, whcih means it should have at least limited thruster capabilities

I'm OK with the rotation, but the rest of the movement should be limited heavily. Also, some phasers fire through pylons but I'm sure TIq will sort it out.. Although, I have no doubt that this station is a nightmare to HP.  :funny But, man, it's so pretty..

That's why I've put Destiny Ascention (Mass Effect - Asari Dreadnaught) to backburner - sick ammount of weapons !

Phasers usually fire through parts when set in proper direction :P u need to face them in opposite direction

Here is a more refined version of the ship I started last week.

I don't want to be critical, but this ship needs some redesign. I don't think it is quite there yet.

What is the ship's role-- some kind of carrier?

I see this as a small gun boat type ship. Not to big but the pods on the sides are weapons pods.

As for the design I'm just building it on the fly. So ideas welcome.

What era you going for Baz? Feels like everything but the underside of the deflector dish is a bit post enterprise era - which would be cool.

Ehhhh...it looked better with underslung nacelles.  Just my opinion though.

The pointed edges of the rear part of the saucer are too sharp. I think they need to be rounded off.

Some heavy revision. Remember the mesh is still rough.

Getting better.

There's something about that deflector that makes it look more like a modified shuttle bay.

I can see many ideas where this design could go. But currently, the mesh needs refinement- it looks too blocky.

I agree with you there. Once I have some idea of the final shape I will rebuild it but more refined.

I rather liked it with the nacelles on top. If you're going to put them downwards, how about bringing the saucer and neck down a tad as well? A big impulse engine similar to DJ's Ent-G may fit this design quite nice.
