It's looking nice. Keep in mind that with TOS windows, some of them are multicolored. Also, the power cells below the bussard collectors are three separate pieces and not one whole piece like the AMT 18" USS Enterprise. Any chance for a battle damaged USS Constellation?

The windows are only for a guide at the moment, I will stick more detailed scenes behind.

As for the Constellation I don't se why not

I am now using Scott Gamman's connie for reference, he built the model for the New Voyages
A wise decision. That model and yours look awesome.
I hope that someone will make the damaged Enterprise and the Copernicus from "Blood and fire, part 1" for BC. and I hope that this someone will be you. (that is, if you want to make them)

does any one know a good tutorial for doing weather hull textures.

The TOS Connie does not really have aztecing but does have some minor weathering on it (not as extreme as the smithsonian restore).

the closest I've seen so far to weathered hull textures is on someone's Terran Empire Daedalus.  it even looks like wet-navy wear.

This is looking pretty sweet!  Are you modeling in 3DS Max?  If so, maybe you could give me some tips! ;)  (I've been struggling with making a CGI quality version)

One thing I noticed that's off is the 'inside' area of the nacelles--you've missing the curved indentation at the front and back of the grills.  See the two attached shots of the actual model in the Smithsonian.  Also, the ribbing on the blocky things near the back of the nacelles should extend all the way to edges of the block, not inset as you've done.  Oh, and the hull lines, if you must include them, should be MUCH less prominent.

Looking good!

Looks sharp there Baz, though I do believe the nacelle pennant could be slightly higher res, up close it looks weird.  But that's a minor thing. :)

The details are more for my reference at the moment. I mark everything out as a BMP in MS paint first before taking the texture in to paintshop or photoshop for final touch up.

Looks good mate, if it was my ship, I would spend more time on the bussard textures, its a focal point in any TOS ship, and i think it needs to look spot on.

Agreed they need more work. It is hard to make them look transparent with moving parts underneath.

Any ideas on improving them would be welcome.

At the moment they are a mixture of the 2 textures below.

Currently your textures appear to be based on the last refit of the filming model and don't look the way they did on screen.
If you wan't you can try using the bussard textures I made. They are the ones which are included in the TOS Akira pack and were used with permission. They are animated as well but the model needs stting up in a certain way for that to work.
