It now looks like an insect's head. :) I meant the side bit. The panel that separates the side coils.

Baz, I think this is what Wiley's suggesting.  I think.  Correct me if I'm wrong!

Whats the suggestion?

Well, considering Wiley was saying "side panel that seperate the coils" I can't really see any change in side panels. :P

I meant that if there was going to be a JJ refit of the Enterprise, would it have almost identical side coils like the "canon" TMP refit? I think we are all getting a little too safe with JJ starship design. Try to do something out-of-the-box but keep some bits that look somewhat like the TMP refit.

yeah, look at the changes from the propeller driven fighters to jet-powered ones.. along those lines.

My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,

His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

Wiley does have a point. I like Josheua Samuelson's incomplete JJ refit (he's never gotten around to finishing it). You might want to look him up on DeviantART, he's madeinjapan1988.

With all due respect to other peoples concept I have my own vision for the ship.

well to be honest I don't like it.

And since unlike the britsh goverment I do not need to form a coalition I can put what ever I like on it.

So the original nacelle stands

My only suggestion would be narrow the nacelle out a bit.

Nope other than the texture edges on the boots I'd say it is virtually good to go.
