USS Avenger?  (bit militaristic, but hey, after all they've been through with DW?)
or
USS Repulse?   (good Brit naval ship-of-the-line name)

How big is that ship? It looks like you have 3 decks where I'd expect one or two.

That's what I was wondering . . . a heckuva lot bigger than the Defiant.

I hate to ask this again, but how big is this ship supposed to be? Comparing the escape pods it looks much, much bigger than a defiant.

Also, it looks like you have two pairs of warp engines and no impulse engines.

Looks alright :) however Kirk's right, I don't see where the impulse engines would go...

I agree on the size of the ship...but I imagine that the skinny blue sections next to the warp nacelles are the impulse engines...there have been Federation vessels with blue impulse engines...the original Constitution class (depending on what source you reference) and the Ambassador Class but i agree it would a difficult to tell the difference between the impulse and warp engines

Just to address the reviews of this ship. I have made the warp and impulse engines as a intergrated units.

The scale of the ship is Defiant size. Escape pods, there are no escape pods on the hull surface.

well she looks good to me :yay:

i think people are expecting to see red glows for impulse engines.... i assumed it was like the defiant, ie: hidden behind porous platings at the aft sections)

and i think the port holes on the ventral section was thought to be escape pods.

sweet ship....

i'll beta if you wish :)

canon wise not possible since both use a completely diferent drive system.

unless he means its a new tech

also it could be integrated into the same module ie : bussard---warp coils---impulse engine

in this way the impulse engines are still separate to meet with "canon"  but still within the same housing

Yes just like on the Defiant.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

The beauty of a TV show is anything is possible.

But for those of you who like Canon.

"As the dominon war was drawing to a close the Federation was designing more faster and powerful ships to replace their losses. Though the Deliverance Class was not completed in time to see combat during the war it was designed with the lessons learned.

Dr Leah Bramas and her team developed the single drive unit to allow more powerfull intergrated engines to be fitted to smaller craft like the Defiant, which as full of design problems.

Not only do the intergrated drive units or IDU's save space they are more efficent as the they share most of the same power conversion componets. Though this means a 2 second delay when switching from Impulse to Warp the trade off was deemed an improvement over the older bi-component drive systems."

Hope that helps people sleep at night with my new ship design.  :hithead:

Well to try and make people happy I have moved (and made smaller) the portholes.

And added an red impulse engine.
