this is one exciting horse race, I'm just not sure which one to place my bet on.  They are both awesome so far.

It might be just an optical illusion with the angle, but the bottom part of the center impulse engine looks really flat. From what I saw on the reference pics, it kind of has a contour curve to it.  It might be just me though.  Either way, this model is look absolutely fantastic!

Looks good.  I would say it's inspired by DJ's Ambassador pattern, which is good because it always looked better than the actual Ambassador IMO.

Looks good mate! How much res is it?

Btw why not a bit blue (told it to wiley as well) because the ambassador class have that bit blue on them.

I'm using Tobias's scheme as I belive Andy P has aproved it.

I have completed the top of the saucer and the impulse engine.

Looks nice! Is the upper saucer texture properly aligned with the saucer, it seems a bit stretched in one direction.

Noticed some mapping errors on the saucer so fixed those and  tweaked the after shuttle bay.

LOL I was just posting the message above/

I wasn't sure I liked that style of Impulse engine on this ship but seeing it textured it actually doesn't look half bad.

Well other than the transporter buffers and the hull reg I'd say the saucer top is done.
