more progress.

Looking magnificent

Only two things I noticed from those pictures (and comparing to TRs renders):
The back of the nacelle 'hoods' should be rounder, they look kind of squared off at the moment.
It may just be the angle but it looks like the back of the nacelles has had a bite taken out of them.

Other than that, I'd say it looks bang on! :D

While you're right about the cowls on the front end of the nacelles, the back ends are just fine.  Happen to have the DVD model of the Enterprise right here and I can confirm that the nacelle ends are just fine.  The cowling on the front end and the shield grids around the impulse engine are the only things that are really off, and I'm not sure he can "fix" the cowls without having to rebuild the nacelles.  I think the shield grid is the only thing he can really fix and that's because it's filling in lines.

Fixed the impulse engine and added the saucer interiors.

Is it the camera angle on those windows that makes them look odd in picture 2?

I was wondering if you were gonna put a shot of the bridge in there, looks really good.  Really impressed with the level of detail on this.  Hope BC can handle it.  Can't wait for your customary evolution shot showing how it compares to each iteration of the JJ-Enterprise you've pushed out.

Yeah, the windows in picture 2 do look uneven in size... maybe it's just perspective.

You have to remember the saucer edge is curved so the windows will look funny at certain angles. The bridge shot is not a screen shot from the movie. I used my WIP bridge model.

That's what I was thinking, especially when I went back and looked at some of the previous pics.  And glad to hear you haven't totally forgotten your bridge.

You can fix the windows.  If they're mapped, use the cylindrical mapping tool, and if they're modeled, slice them radially.

Yeah, Those windows definitely look skewed, pretty sure they're supposed to be perfectly rectangular. Love the bridge shot  :)

Again just point out the window frames are straight it is the angle that is distorting them.

Any mesh finish. Added the fantail, aft torpedo launcher. Sorted all the interiors out and a general last minute going over everything.

Also sorted the neck out as best I could with out screwing it up to much.

And just so you know what you looking at inside the windows.

Here's a question.  Obviously you have different models for the warp engines for warp mode, and I'm assuming it'll be the same for the deflector dish.  Will these still activate if the ship is in shuttle launching mode through MVAM, or will warp be disabled while the shuttlebay is open?

The mesh is fantastic looking, and I can only imagine how it's going to look when textured.  Will you possibly follow Wiley's lead(with respects to his TMP Connie) and go with colored speculars?

EDIT: Also Baz, what's throwing us off is you showed us an angle where the windows were skewed.  We get that they would look weird from certain angles.  But it seems like the windows are angled to look "straight" from the bow of the ship when they should look straight from the angle of that picture.  Nitpicking at this point, IMO.

Also...not gonna put in the thruster indents? >_> :hide

I'll review the saucer windows tonight.

In the meantime the Kessok Heavy is finished.

As I said, I think the saucer windows are nitpicking at this point, especially if it would screw up the work you've done.  What I can see, it's only the windows on the forward part of the saucer.  The rest look fine to me.

Kessok Heavy looks good, looking forward to it flying beside the light.  Which, incidentally...is in the Cardie section in QB :p

Looking pretty good still.  Glad that you didn't have to rebuild the saucer to fix the windows.

Looking pretty good.  Doth mine eyes deceive me, or be thouest a plane of deviation askew to the root of the neck?

Baz, did you forget to model in the maneuvering thrusters on the saucer?
