I feel like there should be a subtle grid between each of the aztec sections.  Looking beautiful!

I agree but it is not there on the models.

:thumbsup:

Are the nacelle caps supposed to be bright white?

I'd maybe darken or desaturate the gold bits down a bit (I didn't even realize those were gold on the qmx model until I saw this!).

Is the aztec on the saucer rotated a bit? It doesn't look symmetrical on this image

Not a major thing, just curious if it was intentional ;)

Your right the saucer aztec was off, that has been fixed and the nacelle and pylons are virtually done.

I actually thought it should be rotated the other way, but that works too!  ;)

On the right hand side of the saucer from the top view, there seems to be a darker section of hull that's double the size of the rest, as if the lighter section in between has been missed out. Again not a big deal.

Those nacelle caps still look very bright to me, maybe it's the specs?

The gold bits look much better :thumbsup:

Speaking about taking down Klingons. We really didn't see this thing in action. What armaments will she have. Anything new and experimental?

The only real info is whats on Memory Alpha.

"The weapon systems included an array of advanced phaser emitters. The powerful discharges from these weapons arced indirectly at the target and could be fired while the ship was at warp. Single hits could penetrate through the shields and cause major hull breaches to a Constitution-class starship.

The weapon systems also included two massive swivel-mounted torpedo launchers that could be deployed from under the saucer section from behind protective armor plating. They could rotate and launch a volley of torpedoes at various firing arcs from aft to forward of the ship. A Dreadnought-class ship could also launch drones that in turn were capable of launching several photon torpedoes before crashing into a target."
All hail the messiah!

I was a little disappointed at the lack of a good space battle in Into Darkness. The only battle we see is very brief and (as far as I remember) the Enterprise never even fires back once.

The little material we have to work with leaves hardpointing this beast mainly up to your own creativity Baz. All I can suggest is that you give it a number of pulse-phasers with large red bolts, and those two massive torpedo launchers which can fire some kind of big blue photons.  :idk:

As for the model, it looks amazing! I cant wait to see this thing completed!  :thumbsup:

My guess for the weapons is phaser bolts the size of a TOS Connie. Did you see the size of those phaser bursts? GIANT things! They also need to somehow penetrate the shields of the Abramsprise. We don't know enough whether or not those phaser bolts can penetrate prime universe shields, since we've never really seen any energy force field shields in the JJ verse yet.

Very nice, though the under-saucer's aztec should reflect the top.

Not even started the bottom yet, it only has the basic pattern from themain hull on it as a place holder.  :thumbsup: good spot though.

Nice, she's really coming to life :thumbsup:

Few little things;

The center part of the deflector is essentially the enterprises deflector, with those extended bits around it, and theres a black line in the center of the blue bussard collectors;

I think the impulse engines are more of a bright purple colour rather than blue;
