Put Maquis/Federation weapons and shields on it and it would be a tyrant! I am not a SW guy but the X-Wing design is something beautiful.

Started to texture the wings. My intention is to make a generic x-wing first then customise them to be RED Leader, RED 5 and RED 2. Also will include a set of blank textures with no markings other than the panel lines.

Just a small point of order: according to this schematic, the curved parts of the lasers (labeled "flashback supressor" on the image) should be completely vertical when the S-Foils are closed.

It doesn't matter what Sci-Fi geek you want to be: I'll always come along with an egregious and unasked opinion on the final product.  ;)

The X-wing guns are an easy fix.

Here is something I have been working on for the SP mod. I have not shown this here for a while.

Never been a huge fan of the X-Wing, but I'm digging this. Great work, Baz.

Thought this earlier, but since the opportunity has presented itself again, I shall put it to words.

Be careful when presenting "schematics" to critique model work.  Most schematics are fan made, and even the official ones can be poorly done (points incriminatingly at the Defiant.)  Nothing beats movie screencaps and production stills.

I've always been of this opinion myself, but since I remembered it from the models I made as a kid, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw it up there.  As for the engines, the only differences I can detect between the schematic posted and Baz's model is that the ring around the nozzle of the engine is more pronounced in the schematic, and the angle of the nozzles themselves are less pronounced on the model.  However, as this image shows, FarShot was correct in saying that fanmade schematics sometimes don't work.

The other issue I find with these kind of ship (ST shuttles as well) that there are differences between the miniture and the full scale mock ups. I appreiciate all feedback but the model is done, and I'm hoping to have it ship finished this week.

I will then finish off the romulan warbird for the Christmas release contest.
