Yeah, Megaupload got shut down, but hey. It's not like it's the only such site, and it strengthened to opposition to PIPA and SOPA, so we can't really complain.

Studs aren't illegal in most states, but they do have regulations, due to the fact that they can wear down roads quicker.  http://www.maxigripstore.com/pages/Tire-studs-regulations.html  Chains are pretty popular though because they give you the traction you need on snow and ice, but they aren't really feasible on regular roads, and so they're usually removed instead of just leaving them on to damage the road.

We sand the roads on the west coast and salt the roads on the east. (we have sooo many roads and such large states bar RI it takes a while to get to some.)
