ID map swapping and Engine Warm-Up
« on: August 12, 2009, 03:38:31 PM »
I'm working on my Excelsiors and I was wondering if ID map swapping and the Engine Warm-Up script can be used at the same time? All of the ships I've looked at so far only use one or the other, but not both.

Yes.

Should elaborate. Yes, they are orthagonal.

They are compatible. ID map (or any map) swapping is done through the "SDT Entry" key and the TMP Warmup Script uses an entry in dTechs.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

I'll just have to be really careful in my scripting, because one minor mistake could cause the BC to crash.

One mistake could blow up the internet, but that hasn't happend. :P

Scripting mistakes, are generally speaking 100%-(1/infinity)% recoverable. Your changes are well within the range of a simple BSOD.
If you run into it while editing attach the file, or e-mail it to me (or both).
