I live five miles north of the tornado that just destroyed thousands of homes in Moore, Oklahoma.  I have many friends in that area.

For those of you that pray, please do.

IIRC, the effect of climate change will be less but stronger hurricanes (and potentially other storms). So we have more nasty weather to look forward to.

Been out of power since Friday due to stupid Oklahoma weather.  Bit pissed at the world at the moment.  Currently on a generator because the lack of social contact has driven me insane.

Very interesting. I would have thought NYC would make the cut but I guess I should consider myself lucky. If anything Jimmy you can canoe your butt down here, bring all the booze with you, no sense in wasting precious resources :D

What a shocker, four of the cities on this list are in Florida - including the top three. I was so surprised, were you surprised? I was surprised.

Man I'd kill for 70s and 80s.  Here in Arizona the heat isn't even getting started...

hot is hot, true...  everyone always says "but it's a dry heat", makes no difference...
it can get up into the 90s all summer here and a couple times hitting over 100 - but that plus thick gross humidity and high dew point to where the air just feels heavy and like walking thru water...  that is no fun...

Oh I hear ya.  I spent my summers in Upstate New York as a kid so I know what 85 degrees plus 90% humidity does lol

This is not typical for June in Arizona.  A strange, clear liquid that I can't identify has been falling from the sky off and on.  And the temperature isn't between 105 and 115.

It's gonna be 98 here on saturday. My room's air conditioner is already struggling with 90 today.

a dew point of 43 degrees and humidity of 18% certainly helps!
even still, anything around 100 is really hot no matter how dry...

around here, it may get close to 100 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but also adding in a dew point of like 70-73 degrees and a humidity level at or above 70% and that's just horrible lol

100 is a relatively cool day to us  :icon_lol:  That's the minimum temperature people generally need to feel like getting in the pool.  The real complaining doesn't generally start until we pass 110.

On a side note, I really, really need to fix my car's air conditioner before the inevitable 120 day arrives.
