Hey all, I'm new, finally got this game after years of wanting and searching for it. One of the main reasons I always wanted it was to use the voice command features I'd always heard about. After installing, I looked for both of the third party programs that the readme had listed. Microsoft game voice I couldn't make install at all, and Game Commander 2 seems to no longer be available for purchase. I did download GC2, but if someone could show me a legitimate place to purchase a license, I'll delete mine immediately until I can purchase it legitimately.
Now, I've set up the profile included with the game, and even trained my voice separately on each of the listed commands. When I'm speaking with GC2 running outside of the game, it registers my commands just fine (often with unwanted results since its 'pressing' my keys). However, whenever I'm in game, the commands don't have any effect.
This is probably a really stupid, easy-to-fix issue, but I'd love to be able to experience this game the way I always wanted.
