The ship's role will essentially be that of Galor, but 25 years on; a backbone ship that meets the primary offensive and defensive needs of the Cardassian military.

Last update.  I'm going to bed. :hithead:

I've got most of the minor edges etc. mapped.  The rest of the textures should be fairly speedy, though the underside still needs lots of work, as you can see.

She is looking fantastic DJ, I'm starting to think you're the master of the 25th Century.  Ah, who am I kidding, I know you're the master of the 25th century :D

Might I suggest a name for this new class of warship?  I was thinking, since this is a newer futuristic design, she could be called the Damar Class named after Legate Damar who died a hero saving the Cardassian people from the treacherous clutches of the Dominion.  Since he died a hero and helped liberate the Cardassian Union during one of their darkest points in history, it makes sense to name one of their newest ships after him.  Just an idea.

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Here's where I'm at.  Did a bunch of work to the underside, as well as the bridge area.  I also adjusted the color of the sensor pallets to blend in better with the overall hull.  I also added a bunch of base hull textures to almost all of the little bits of hull that were unmapped, edges and the like.

Awesome is an understatement! That thing is just gorgeous!

Even though I broke protocol, I'm glad I resurrected this thread.  ;)
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

hella sweet DJ  :D :yay:

forgive me if this has been mentioned already (and forgive my laziness to look back hehe   :P)
what is the approx size of this ship?  i wouldnt mind seeing comparison shots later down the road, next to a keldon or galor or whatever :)
also, what will the weaponry be like?  armed to the teeth, im sure; but what are we looking at as far as torp launchers and compressors?
(i can see some compressor emitters, but i was just wondering the list)
not that it really matters either way, i was just curious...

and if this has been mentioned already in the thread, whoever quotes the post first gets some cookies from me :)

Size wise, expect it to be roughly similar to the Galor.  I haven't nailed it down exactly yet, but when I do I will provide some comparison shots.

As for the weapons, each of the little pyramids will be a disruptor.  The main spiral wave disruptor will be stronger.  The ship also has four forward torpedo launchers and two aft.  Each will fire 2 or three torpedoes simultaneously.  Except it to be reasonably maneuverable with good shields, but heavy armor.

I have to go to Edmonton to mark achievement tests all next week, so I'm going to try get the textures finished up tonight, and then tomorrow I'll do the HP and get it playable.  If all goes well, you'll have this in your install on Sunday morning.

Here are the latest renders.
