The ending to LOST
« on: May 26, 2010, 12:04:41 PM »
Anyone else think it was terrible? I felt like I was watching a tv show written by 10 year olds! It didn't answer anything! Anything at all! Just a bunch of rubbish with a cliche ending.

Anyway, LOST discussion?

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

I stopped watching LOST ages ago. First series was awesome. Second was weird. Third was downright stupid.

i enjoyed the series...  but i felt the ending did lack quite a bit and there were still too many unanswered questions...
looking around at other sites and discussion groups, alot of people werent very pleased either...

IIRC there is one group trying to get a petition going where they want the last ep re-shot
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

SPOILERS!

It focused too much on the events of season 6, which itself was rather isolated from the first 5 seasons.

Agree that it didn't answer some of the major questions, and I grew really annoyed with that. The egyptian stuff for example. I very much doubt that Jacob built the Taweret statue, the temple and draw or carve the hieroglyphs all by himself, despite being on the Island for more than 200 years, lol.  :P

I didn't like the Purgatory ending, but mostly because a whole bunch of characters weren't there (Michael, Mr Eko, Jacob to name a few), and mostly because Ashes To Ashes had a better Purgatory ending last Friday, lol.

Jack was too obvious to be replacing Jacob. I could see his death coming from a mile away, especially in the foreshadowing by Hurley in "What They Died For".

I wish the episode hadn't been spoiled for me now. :/

Can't wait for 2014 to start.
