holy thread comeback!!!! Centurus has placed me in charge of getting the resurrection ported over to BC  :yay:. As it stands the mesh has been converted compliments of baz (thank you) and has been handed over to Bones for textures and scripting which is underway now. Once Bones is finished with the textures/specs/scripting i will be needing some beta testers. Those who are interested please send me a PM. Only 3 or 4 people will be picked to test her out. As soon as i hear from Bones on how close he is to completing her i will send a PM to those who i have picked to test her out. :readme:

A quick STL check has revealled over 1000 open faces.

See pic below.

These are most likely why it has errors after exporting.

Basicly every vert on the red lines are two unwelded vert so that is what needs doing.

Not going to be a quick fix, I have tried a quick weld and it did not help much.

Happy to advise but have not got the time fix for you guys.

ok just pulled it apart, it is not a unified mesh so it is where all the parts join up is the problem.

Fixing it will screw the UV unwraps up I'm afraid.

The verts always seem to come apart when any kind of porting is done.  When I built the ship, there were no unwelded verts.  Why it keeps doing it, I have no idea.

Also, I purposely didn't want it to be a unified mesh.

I'm sending Dawg an NIF of the ship.  It's quick and dirty, and I have no idea if it'll work.  I exported it to 3DS, then exported to MOD (SFC), and then exported that to NIF.  But I didn't go back and reweld any verts.  I got tired of rewelding verts about a few hundred million verts ago.

So far so good, no floating polies, no errors, just need to scale her up a bit and rename texture materials to fit mine, then we shall see how she works in MPE

UPDATE :

scale is still off, when I try to scale her up via Nifskope, MPE locate tool doesn't pick coordinates at all and the model is blinking, if I scale her up via 3ds max, MPE won't read the model at all, if I try it in milkshape ... well, you know what happens with milkshape :P

except for not being able to properly set scale thus not being able to hardpoint her it's all good ... any iddeas how to set her into 310 meters ???

I  have taken the NIF you sent Bones. had to little repair to the smoothing that was lost in conversion.

I have exported to 3DS and loaded up in max3 and exported using the official exporter from the SDK and I can not see the holes in nif skope.

Won't really know how well it has worked until Bones slaps some textures on her, as it is just a bright white ship for me.

could you ssend her to my email ? also would that be possible to scale her to around 305-310 meters before sending her to me ? :D it seems the only ship I can't export properly not to mention about scaling :P

never mind :P just cchecked my mail :P
