STO tier 1 craft
« on: June 23, 2010, 12:10:34 PM »
I figured: Why not? When I tested the game out, for the one mission I got to run on, this was what I was stuck with.

Currently at 7k polys, and I can tell you now the nacelles will be the weird STO-Originals, just because the other two have no place in its timeline.

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

That's STO for you.  :funny They're just... Lanky nacelle pylons. Honest.

EDIT: Did a quick mock-up to show where the nacelles sit (for those who haven't seen it)

the only thing i would do is loose the centaur saucer and go Shir'Kahr all the way, since you're already using all the other Shir'Kahr parts.

So the nacelles go on the ends of the wings?  What the H are those tubular objects the "wings" are attached to?  Fueltanks? :idk:

(tubular=shaped like a tube, not surfer slang "cool") :P

I really don't like that saucer, though. It just looks so un-trek to me.  :idk: The pylons are also Centaur brand, so it's a(n) (un)perfect hybrid.  :P

I assume they're either sensor pods or something like that. Maybe I'll just cut them up and turn them into Miranda-esque super phasers.

Right, this should do for tonight. Should I convert the tubes on the pylons into super phasers? Or perhaps aft torp launchers or a second set of impulse engines?

More edges on the rim of the saucer.  Other than that, very nice.

Agreed. That edge is way under-polyed.

+1 :yay:

Very nice.  I especially like the nacelles.  With those "pods", try making them fore and aft torpedo tubes.

Glad to see someone do this. pretty much my setup when I was on the beta too. Had got some klingon disruptors out of a battle and mounted on my version. Lots of diversity in that game.

Pulse phasers like on the Defiant might be cool.

Nicely done, and a cookie too.
