Cleared up most of the mesh errors. Still might be a few more, but I'd much rather get this one off my desk than let it fester. So without further ado, some more shots. The idea of these are different perspectives the crew (and hopefully players) would see... (Don't forget to read the filenames.)

Interesting shots. Have you run an STL check from the modifiers menu to make sure there are no errors?

Okay, so I did run the STL check, and got no errors when I clicked check. I guess that is good eh? It was set to everything. So I guess I'll be moving forward with textures then...

So I figured out how to do glows in Max. I also downloaded a couple of meshes that are licensed for rendering use. Only the second one has the actual glows.

Plus, I believe I've finalized the design of the H. Please comment.

Except, I'm not sure how to do the pylons. Swept backward or forward; and raised up above the saucer, just below the saucer, directly abreast, or down slightly: take your pick. I included letters and numbers on the sketch to help you pick.

A-2 and B-4 are my personal favorites (pylons back and up slightly and pylons forward and down slightly).

Here's a key:
A - swept back (in main pic)
B - swept forward (ala Intrepid class)
1 - pylons straight out (ala Intrepid class)
2 - pylons angled up slightly (like Sovereign class, but below the saucer)
3 - pylons angled up dramatically (like Sovereign class)
4 - pylons angled down (like Luna class)

That Surpasser is looking real good. Always enjoy seeing more of her. As for the Enterprise, I would say option 3, pylons angled up dramatically like Sovereign class. Maybe angle them up like the Nemesis Sovereign to give it a real sleek look. You may have mentioned this before but how big is the Enterprise going to be?

The Enterprise J is supposed to be about 2 miles long. I'm not sure how long the G is, but I figure the H will be about the same width as the G, but longer, and the I will be about the same length as the H, but wider. Make sense? In relation to the J, the I will be about half as wide, but almost as long. I will scale the models from there (if and when I get to them, of course).

I hate multi-posting but you guys make it hard. More comments.

Anyways, according to my original sketch, the Surpasser class has 12 full decks. I did some research. The accepted length of the Excelsior refit is 469 meters. 3 meter decks gives it 24-25 decks. I scaled my Surpasser model to an Excelsior ortho and got a length of 244.5 meters. Here's a pic. Does that look right or should I resize it?
