yeah your right, just be sure to put something there texture wise so it doesnt look as bland ok? it just screams that something is needed there ya'know?

Windows, escape pods, dark hull plating. Bones is a smart guy, I'm sure he knows exactly how he wants to texture it. ;)

now I'm studying all the pics of the Exeter and I must say I don't like those textures ... maybe the hull pattern will grow on me during texturing process... also why this Exeter has different saucer than that on the STO cover ???

You're thinking of the Excalibur, Bones. Two different ships. The Exeter was added after launch.

As far as the textures go, you can use your pretty much trademarked paneling, but change the brightness and contrast to match the pearlescent white and ebony black. I'll probably take one of your other textures from the Krakow or something and use it as a template to map with. I'll mess with the coloring so you can see what I mean when I finish UV mapping.

Farshot, you've definitely done some nice work. I couldn't have done any better myself. I'd still be working on the secondary hull, and those warp engines would have made me want to shoot my brains out. Nice job.

Alright, since I'm planning to ship it off to Bones today at some point, I closed the poll. I'll just leave the saucer's aft as is since the votes were inconclusive.

It's looking fan-freaking-tastic! I want it! I think it's the closest thing STO will get to the JJ-Prise, which is awesome.

So UV mapping sucks, so I made these helper textures for both you and I, Bones. Hopefully you'll follow the rough color scheme I laid out.

The nacelle's map isn't finished, mostly because I realized I left off the aft torpedo launchers. My end will be finished within a few hours though, then it's off for texturing.

Okay, she's ready Bones. Incoming PM, and let me know if anything is wrong or if you need something else, maybe different file formats, whatever. Remember, the current textures are just to give you some direction. I don't expect any part of them to be used, though I did borrow a couple of things from the Sobieski/Krakow/Resurrection textures.

Decided to give original STO textures style a go, it looks cool especially after adding some panelling detail
