can the nifskope 3ds Max plugin be used to make bridges in later versions of 3ds Max?

Short answer is no. You need max 3 and the plug in from the SDK for it to work.
Also if you want to model your own crew then you'll charactor studio, though Lurock has managed to use exsisting crew animations on the newer bridges.

I managed to delete the XO and guest chairs from the Generations bridge last year. I did that with nifskope.
Perhaps if I had tried to add geometry it wouldn't have worked, I dunno, but certainly, that much worked.
