Duke Nukem Forever. No, seriously.
« on: September 05, 2010, 12:26:29 AM »
So Gearbox picked up DNF and actually had something to show at PAX. Nothing special, and for some reason the final boss from D3D is back, but it's more than 3DRealms were able to show.

Discuss.

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

I'll get ready for another 10 year wait.

Hopefully the DTB (direct to brain) technology should be good go by the time this game is released in 2020! :D
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

counting out Manhattan Project, Duke was a good solid title especially 3D :D and priceless lines like ' your face, your ass ... what's the difference' or 'I'll rip of your head and s**t down your neck' were sooo funny back then  :funny but yeah it's quite unlikely Forever will ever be finished ...

Bullshit!! :0
Anyone above the age of 20 knows who the Duke is!!! and you're plenty old enough to have played the first 2 nukem games! (hell, I've played them both)

You seriously had no idea who Duke nukem was?!?

How's about

"I ain't afraid of no quake!"
"Hmmm..That's one doomed SPACE MARINE!"
"Nobody steals our chicks...and lives"

and many many more priceless and well timed one liners!
I miss :bigdance:

I remember playing the old 2D sidescrollers as a kid...and of course, I LOVE 3D.

I was of the impression that Duke Nukem Forever was one of those games that was just a myth. Like StarCraft: Ghost.

while we're on The Duke, can anyone tell me what version "total meltdown" for PSX is?

Maul: it's been "vaporwear" for years.  the original company collapsed at some point.

Goes along with Nero... I've been hearing about this since 2002.

I was of the impression that Duke Nukem Forever was one of those games that was just a myth. Like StarCraft: Ghost.

The hell? SC: Ghost was no myth... it was canceled before any significant progress could be made however. XD one of the Blizzcon debuts for Starcraft 2(last year) had (using the SC2 Map creator) a modded map showing a Third person shooter where you control a ghost lol they were hinting at SC: Ghost as a laugh.
