Shuttle Bridge Set - Christmas Pack Release
« on: November 10, 2010, 05:47:07 AM »
Type 6 ready for release,  but also have Type 9 and ST5 Shuttle on standby.  Would it make more sense to release them all together as a shuttle bridge pack rather than separate?

EDIT:  set beta-tested. Currently scheduled for DJs Organized Christmas release.

I agree on the Xmas pack, though I think the arch in the type 6 needs attention.

I should add that the type6 cockpit makes me feel all tingly :D

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

Yeah, I know the arch sucks but best I could do with current modelling skills.  Did ask when it was WIP if anyone could do a better job but no takers, so will have to do  :)   But hope rest of it makes you feel tingly in good way  :)

Yes, it's a good way :D

I'm surprised it challenges you, the type9 consoles are a work of art!

Loading screen is upside down
Don't Walk in the Type 9 cockpit

I'll let you know if I find more bugs.

Silent Saffi - not in mine.  Has anyone else issue?   Saffi was silent on original T11 bridge, but thought had rescripted her (T6Saffi) so no longer mute.
Loading screen - not sure which loading screen T11-variant bridge uses. Not mentioned in orig script.  Maybe BR32 knows.
Type9 walk -  did mention in readme for players not to use WalkFX.   If could disable for this bridge I would.   This is another compromise.  Type9 bridge famously small (even joke about it in Voyager) and if made big enough to use walkfx wouldn't be true to form.  Not much to see in back anyway  :) - and what there is you can see in monitor reflection  :D

ps: unless there's some way to rescript walkfx for this particular bridge so don't end up in ceiling  :banghead:   (see interior pic above)

UPDATE:
Having made new anims for Runabout,  have completely rescripted shuttle bridge set to use them.  So positionings, viewscreens and gameplay slightly better.

ST5Shuttle - have adapted to Type9 style so player now in co-pilot seat rather than rear.

Type6 - player still in back with Saffi (due to sidewindow distortions).  Saffi standing option has been dropped.

Added one new bridge (after watching Voyager) :  Type 8 -  series redress of Type 6, with different seats, consoles, lcars and lighting.  As always, matched as best as can to screencaps.   No beta-test needed as just variant of Type 6 bridge.

These really are a work of art! I can't wait to try these out!

I would love to see your take on the SC-4 shuttle from Endgame and also The Delta Flyer :D

Yes the delta flyer would be great, I already have the type 6 bridge I had the privilage of getting to beta test this baby and scripted it to auto switch bridge when you launch it from a ship. after all theese years of playing bridge commander I never thought this would be so cool to launch a shuttle and then actually be in the shuttle bridge thanks again lurko genius. :)

Hey man, sorry to keep bugging you about the Arch, but I know you can do it, it's a much simpler shape than you're trying for, take a look at these screencaps from Parallels:
