ill submit anything for anyone, and only ask for 50% of the reward
if i need to have my "name" on the project, i can say i did the windows lol j/k  :P

seriously, tho - i think it is more than lame for the contest to be for only people in the US...  why is that???
they sell the game world-wide but only US users can try for a contest?   :roll
very unfair, IMO...  i think anyone who pays for the game monthly should be eligible no matter what country they live in...

This isn't so much of an open contest as sweepstakes.  If any of you have ever bought Lunchables, you'll know what I mean.  There is tons, AND I MEAN TONS, of fine print associated with these things.  I one-hundred percent understand why it's only U.S.  It probably took a hundred miles of red tape to get this legalized.  An international one would probably be thousands.

Anyways, I know I'll be submitting a design myself.  DJ's Century was designed in the late 24th century.  It seems like the Enterprise E had a full 30 year-ish life at least a decade into the 25th, so I think even DJ will agree that the Century wouldn't be right for this timeline.

I nominate WileyCoyote's design, the Proteus.

Thanks, but it doesn't qualify for an Enterprise. I might use some design elements though.

I'm not to sure where Wiley is from, but if there are any people from the US here, from what i know, you don't have to be a 3D modeler.
I'm from the US.

You're kidding right? How did you even think that that is a logical idea?

It's a shame the Century isn't eligible because DJ simply lives across the pond.  In fact, it's a shame that a lot of you aren't eligible for that reason.  Farshot is right about the Century Class though I suppose.  As beautiful as she is, she doesn't really fit into the timeline.  This makes me wonder though... does STO have the intention of releasing another Chapter that has the Enterprise-E destroyed?  Does she get retired?  I think details like that are kind of important when designed another ship.  Or at least that's what I think.  I've never designed an Enterprise before lol.

I definitely look forward to seeing what everyone is going to design.  And I really look forward to seeing what is chosen.  The Sovereign is my favorite of the Big-E, (1701-A being second favorite), and it will be tough to follow IMO.

It doesn't even look like an Enterprise.  IMO, the profile of the Enterprise is so well known, you can't depart from it.  Even the Ent J follows these principles:

1.  Circular or elliptical saucer.
2.  Circular or elliptical deflector dish.
3.  Upward swept nacelles.

The Proteus violates all three of these.  I do think it would make an excellent Voyager A or B though.

no one ever said that was a requirement,  I for one think the Proteus fits nicely with the STO Starcruiser class ships, especially the Nomad.

And not to mention size(cruiser) and role(all defense/offence; little to no science/diplomacy).

I happen to think it's very big in the diplomacy aspect.  There's the sheer beauty and intimidating size of the Galaxy, and then there's the cowboy diplomacy big guns of the Sovereign. :D

:banghead: :banghead: I just saw that. I'm now starting to think that people are posting everything and anything they could find and claim it as theirs. No effort at all. It's just a matter of time until someone posts DJ's Enterprise-F.

That and a few us can't even upload submissions, because of File size errors.  My sub is only 200KB and they say that I hve exceeded my 1mb disk quota.

They really need to think this through.  That and the April 1 release date.

Yea, and all of the pics submitted are low quality(low resolution). You can't see any detail.
