the textures are as complete as I'm going to bother with.  hardpointing has begun.

if anyone's interested, i'm looking for beta testers for the Concours.

I wouldn't mind taking her out for her Shakedown King!

I've had to stop and get advice from Tiq on RTL's like the Sovereigns and Deadthunder's Firesteel II (I love torpedoes).  i also have to check a glitch out with the textures when it's in game.  looks like I got too enthusiastic over starting the textures, and missed something.

I'll try and get this together ASAP.

Sorry for the off topic here.  King where do I get in touch with you guys about the Vintaak issue?  The link Tiq provided at BCFiles just goes to the main page.

should PM Tiq with the specific issues.  the only problems I had in beta-ing were the sheer distances (it would take about 6 HOURS to warp to Vintaak at default GC settings) he had the system set to.

you not only need the latest KM and bits, but also the already released vintaak ship pack (the Tholian tuned TOS Defiant is as badass as the regular defiant, and totally worth it).

meanwhile, thanks to your timing and the craptacular weather, I can post an update with the Concours.

the Glows issue is still a problem.  i need a pro to redo my nif, unfortunately (i can't get max to stop telling me there's an attached node when I try to resave, even though there's nothing there).  There have also been some minor tweaks to the textures and Hard point.  two forward phasers have been deleted due to "shooting through the hull" overlap, the dorsal saucer strips have had their angle changed, and the aft port and starboard angles have been transferred to their own phaser strips.  the hull and shields have been strengthened (i have a problem with rushing the hard point and making the hit points too low), and the impulse speed has been tweaked for better performance and turning.

while I've been off due to the weather (and the state's apparent "Environment over Economy" policy), I've had a chance to hardpoint a TOS ship that was never touched.  one of Atlom's designs that was never touched

for quite a while, I've had a Breen variant hardpointed for my own use, based on a previous pre-done breen.  i'm polishing this one for release as well

I think you are making good progress with this ship, although the title does say TNG Connie, and to be honest the TNG element of it seems to be lacking some what. The Connie is a very simple shape to make in essence, I think you should make your own so that you can give it a proper TNG feel.

Best of luck.

I'm starting slow.  it takes me quite a while to "get" some things, due to a rather annoying learning disability.  my HEAD knows what to do, my HANDS need to figure it out (Dyspraxic...fortunately, a mild case)

meanwhile the ship is allready ingame.  i've done some hardpoint and texture tweaks, and as soon as the glow problem is sorted, there'll be a TE version to go with it!

hey, guys.  remember this poor old thing?  i finally got the glow problem repaired with Vladko's help.  figured it out while debugging some missing glows for starforce.

however, the textures look like CRAP, now.
