Few questions:
1. Running any other programs besides STBC like an internet browser?
2. Fullscreen or Windowed mode?
3. ATI or NVIDIA card?

Custom driver settings or default?
Using any special driver settings for stbc.exe also in driver configuration?

Mine used to do that. One day...just cleared up

Lol I know that was a lot of help   :P
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
 We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
 One equal temper of heroic hearts,
 Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
 To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Do you have any programs running in the background when you play? That causes flickering sometimes.

Isn't all he needs to do is right click--->properties--->compatibility and check all three of the disable options? Thats what i've seen in most of the threads for this. But I have to ask is this something that actually needs to be fixed since its just in the main menu for the first few seconds at a time and kinda rare too(well for me). It doesn't bother me at all.

that doesn't really work.... I've tired when it happens... and it isn't just the main menu... it happens everywhere in the game.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

It does happen anywhere in game but like I said only for like 3 seconds at most and not again for like an hour.
