i just have a hard time with the dark grey/black hull panels on federation ships, i have to admit...
thats just my own personal taste tho and no reflection of the amazing work itself being put into the ships from you guys...

A comparison of the STO Excalibur and my reimagining.

I feel for you.  I'm thinking of having all dark color hull paneling resemble the Nemesis version of the Sovereign class.  Definitely a bit darker, but the speculars make it shine.

You guys are doing some great work. Don't let idiots like that Perfect_Agent get to you.

The Exeter is awesome.

I have to agree with Jimmy somewhat on the choice of colors for your creations but... on the other hand, they also have their own appeal, kind of a "new" direction for starfleet colors/details.

The ships are great and you're doing a spectacular job but I too agree about the colors, more power to you though!

The Exeter's black and white color scheme was made as it was in order to match the game-canon appearance of STO's version.

Ooooohhhh I must say in that shot it looks like that black bits are like some sort of spine, and it looks terrific  :yay:

Yeah I love that 'Type 6' texture the newer STO ships use, I want to slap it on everything.

Indeed. Shame that it's only availible if you use pure cstore ships with no kitbas....I mean custom parts.

That was a limitation in the tech they had for giving Ship skins with ships, apprently its fixed now. No idea when they're going to release it.

The fix also gives them the ability to sell ship skins in the c-store.

:s  If you're using the new .max I pm'd you about, there shouldn't be an issue with where the chevrons are pointing.  I suppose you can just switch it back to the impulse bulb thingies.

As for the rest of the textures, I just have a few requests.  It seems like the RCS thrusters on the hull are unchanged from what I gave you.  It's not an order, but feel free to replace them.  Secondly, she's a bit short of escape pods.  The saucer area should have the highest concentration of them since that's where the crew lives.  Since there isn't much on the ventral side of the saucer, feel free to throw in a dozen or so on the port and starboard sides.  As for the warp engine pods, two things:  on the dorsal side, you have a dark black strip along the leading edge.  If you can put that on the outboard and ventral leading edges as well, that'd be excellent.  Secondly, could you slap an RCS thruster here, on the outboard side's aft edge?

Ok, So I'll just replace the chevron to impulse reactor (defiant style), adjust warp engines to what you suggested - noticed they are all black on the ventral side :P then replace and add additional thrusters and esc pods.

I've been messing around with this area and I'm fairly happy with the result...
