Cleaned thread of nonsense.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Thanks.  Update on Inferno coming soon.

Also, Bones, have you figured out transparent textures, animated textures, and moving parts?  The first two are covered here.  I don't know about moving parts like Voyager's nacelles though.

That secondary hull is a pain in the posterior.

Looks good!

When it comes to moving parts, you have pretty much 2 options.  The first is MVAM, which looks weird to me when done that way.  The second is FTech, which is what's used for Voyager and the Delta Flyer in the CGI Voyager pack.  No idea how it works though...

If i remember a post on heres somewhere correctally, voyager was able to move because they made a model of the ship pre warp and one after the nacells had moved into warp mode, then made a ship with no nacells and made a seperate nacell pylon moving animation model which got peiced together with the nacell and pylonless voyager during the warp triggered cutscene. this is in FTech BTW

if anyone can confirm this it will help immensly.

indeed, model with and without nacelles and third model being just nacelles & pylons with animation.

well farshot i do have a combo of aspergers, ADD and ADHD(mild but can be a bad thing)and im only 16 also go right ahead farshot, my school never offered an actual geometry class so im lacking that skill, should learn it in the next 2 years if i get into the games design course at college, also jimmy, soz for all the overdone hype about the inferno, im just so excited that shes FINALLY being done and at such a professional level unlike my kitbash that is the solaris.

hope i didnt cause any upset in ANY way.
Not to bring up a sore subject, but I am the same. almost literally! 16, ADHD, Aspergers...and....Bi-polar, and... ODD, and.... OCD....
The doctors that gave me this are retired, by the way, lol. I say that I have ADHD, and Aspergers. All the other crap is just old docs trying to remember what fits together in a puzzle, as many of these are not compatible with each other. I left that dude many years ago, got sick of him loading me with meds. I was on 13 at one point! god, that doctor was nuts!

Also, just so you know, we aint the only ones out there. We are not alone. I am with ya!

ON TOPIC: all of these projects look SWEET!
LOVE mass effect!
LOVE the ship your working on Farshot!
LOVE YOU ALL!

Whoa !!! did you see scripts for these techs ? they might be a little bit ... problematic, to say at least  :lostit: I'll try my best guessing what is what :funny but no worries I'd love to see the Inferno with all the fancyness of retracting nacelle vents :D

probably some slow creaky sound from Voyager... or something like in BSG (motors humming when flight pods are retracted) or we might come up with some cool futuristic sound (I would consider second and third option personaly :P)

I dont know why but i think the sound the Pheonix made when it first deployed its nacells would work well for this ship, what do you think?

This is why I gave you forewarning. :P  Try it out with some simple models, like some cubes.  This is your homework, Bones.

Indeed. ;)

Judging by the CGI Voyager...none.  I dunno if you can add sound or not.
