Looks great though not my cup of tea :S

yeah well ... AVP had similiar kick ass trailer... I won't remind you how awful dissapointment it was :(

I do hope it will be closer to original AVP - survival FPS horror, little les closr to AVP 2 - casual FPS and nowhere near as awful as AVP 2010 - ... uhm ... sandbox, childsplay FPS ...

yeah.. but in case you guys haven't noticed, modern games are more and more about pressing right key when it's prompted on the screen.. that's is the reason why I did not buy latest Ace Combat.. I don't want that the game FORCES me to do something.. I want to do it all myself. :bitch:

one reason i like games such as Bridge Commander and Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

give me a world to explore and not know what will happen next and i'm happy.

just wish they did a new BC game designed for exploration. i mean how difficult is it to make a star trek game that allows exploration of the alpha, beta, gamma and delta quadrants. with random events happening like alien incursions, alien first contacts, war, anomalies, discoveries.

i mean how cool would it be to leave space dock in your ship and head out on a shakedown cruise, only to find that your upgraded sensors have picked up a new element on an asteroid. you transport it to the ship for analysis and after time you get a report that the element is able to be used as advanced dilithium or something.

or an anomaly forms in wolf 359 and you go to investigate and discover... something (not necessarily to do with the borg either  :roll)

sorry if any think i have commandeered lionus' topic

and sorry lionus if you think so to lol

Sorry to be sceptic but ...

it seems they only updated few models then build up new stages and patch it all up to new game ...

still feels much like AVP which btw as I already mentioned was a big fail (mildly said - missed opportunity) ...

I guess we will have to wait until it;s out ...

I'd love to be wrong this time, really

I see what you mean, got AvP multi beta and loved it. Got the retail and took it back.

I'm gonna repost what I said in the comments:

Quote
Character animations look like something out of Half Life. Looks like? another linear cinematic shooter, like Modern Warfare but more campy, less class, non-revolutionary gameplay mechanics, and crappy unlovable characters - just like Duke Nukem Forever in other words.

In short, thank you Gearbox for raping another franchise.  Stick with Borderlands please.  Camp and old-school foot-scoot-shoot works well there - the game isn't supposed to be taken seriously.

OooooKkkkkk .... soooo .... why so many xenomorphs I ask ? ship has more of them than Headley's Hope did, why ? from what I can remember from A3 there were only 2 eggs on board (one for Ripley, one for dog/ox - depending on version) so where did they come from, it was clearly established that face huggers needs hosts to breed xenomorphs, Sulaco was abandoned by the only remaining crew at the beginnning of A3 so even if there were like 100 eggs, nothing would happen :P just like in Alien.

I was hoping for survival horror game :P

Weyland-Yutani was mentioned. Perhaps they had something to do with it?

Did anyone notice how at 1:09 the marines were killed by a scripted encounter?  Dude couldn't even shoot these pathetic small xeno's off of his allies.  If anyone remembers DNF, it's stuff like this that irks me.  Everyone keeps talking about how it looks like the movie or whatever.  If you want that, go watch the damn movies then.  Still waiting for the day for a new game to surprise me...
