Good news. I got three ships ready for release today. I just need some testers to check them over and make sure everything's working. Let me know if you can and I will PM you a link to the betas. Once testing is done I'll release them ASAP.

Been looking forward to the Abante and the Excelsior-A, and the Orion's a surprise, looks like a mini Galaxy.

Alright, so I tested them, and what I can say is: The Abante and Orion didn't stand a chance against the stock KM ambassador. The Orion turns slower than i would expect. The Excelsior, however, did reasonably well against the Ambassador. They all got torn a new hole by Wiley's newest Nemesis Sovvy, though.

Also, the Abante uses stock game torps, and I thought that a ship with that sophisticated of a look, would use better torps, such as Quantums, or even a better looking photon. The Excelsior uses Photons as the pulse, and I would have thought that it would have Quantums. I do love the look of the ships, though. They are gorgeous.

Balancing sure is a real _____, isn't it? Especially when you have hundreds of modders to potentially balance your stuff against... who's to say what's balanced and what isn't, anymore?

OMG, I frickin' LOVE the Orion! I always liked your early TNG ships best, DJ. The Supremus is still dear to my heart.

Great job on the Galaxy, so far, but I do agree with the others that the nacelle pylon deck is a tad thick.

Crisp, beautiful models and textures, as always

I may have to reinstall BC as its become Crash Commander, I can't wait to get these in game!

Edit: Just looked the WIP thread for the Orion class and I am very impressed in fact it looked similar to the ship orthos I was half way through for your comp when I looked at that I thought close enough i'l download that instead! It even has the same nacelle pylon shape and secondary hull.

. Considering she has the same quality as the rest of your ships I can't waith and the others look stunning too.

As I recall from the WIP thread its about 300m long and is classed as Frigate and fills in the roll of Galaxy class if a Galaxy is not avalible.

Edit: I just had a thought, its the Victory Class to the Imperial Stardestroyer.

Orion has a circular saucer, slender engineering hull, different nacelle pylons, modified and scaled down engines, and overall is about a third the mass of the Galaxy Class.

Are you redoing the texture mapping, or will it fit the original textures?

Ditto, but since I came to this late, and you have plenty of fine testers, I'll be content to wait for the release.

I also agree with Aces on the Orion. They all are so cool, but that one has been intriguing to me as well.
