Hello, as many of you have noticed there's been alot of beautiful work on ships from Star Trek online in the forums lately. However, all of these, are Federation ship types. I now ask if anyone would like to help me introduce Klingon, and Gorn ships from Star Trek online. Since i cannot model, and only could do texture modifications, i would need a person(s) to do meshes and textures while i do the Hardpointing, projectiles, and other ship scripts. The first ship i would like to do is the Quldun Bird of Prey http://www.stowiki.org/QulDun_Bird-of-Prey followed by the Gorn Vishap Frigate http://www.stowiki.org/Vishap_Frigate If anyone is interested in offering help, let me know.

It's possible I'll do other races in addition to the Fed ships I'm working on. I'd definitely prioritize Klingons over the other non-Fed races though. At present, I usually take my STO Exeters against Borg vessels, but it'd be nice to have them face some equivalent Klingons. I really like how Bones hardpointed the Exeter, makes it feel fast and devastating. If and when we get to the Klingons, expect some hard core, fast paced, all out combat.

Farshot, that sounds wonderful, if i could help in even the most minute way it would be an honour. Most of the ships in star trek online look like they would exist in 25th century if there was a show on on it. I never tried your Exeter against the borg, mainly against the Dominion and DJ's Damar Cardassian Cruiser but having Klingon vessels against it would be fun, and interesting. The reason why if i could would make the Quldun the first ship because it is the refit of the iconic B'rel Bird of prey. It looks as it if would be a logical 25th century B'rel refit. And even though it is a tier 2 ship in Star Trek online, and I posses larger, more powerful vessels, it is my favourite, and most used ship for its aesthetics and being a B'rel refit. Indeed, i too would kill for a new gorn ships especially the ones from star trek online since Bridge commander lacks in TNG and Post Nemesis Gorn vessels in addition to them being so cool looking, hence why i want to assemble a fellowship to do so

Another nice ship is the K'tinga refit.

I am far too aware of the heavy leaning to Federation ships and their variants after 10 years. I don't think there is one HIGH quality non Federation ship out there with the textures and model to boot (could be wrong). I really think the Klingons and the Romulans deserves all these rich textures that some of these creative Federation designs are getting but that's how popularity works. But if it's brought up more perhaps one day will have more than Fed beauty shots to look forward to. After that kind of variety can only extend the life of Bridge Commander.

I'm hoping to cross over into being a modder this year but I have yet to learn texturing or scripting and I'm only amateur at creating meshing but this next month I'm dedicating to 3D studio Max. Heres to the future.

I released a Cardassian ship last year that I think was in line with the rest of my work.

@ Saquist While i do agree with you in that there are heavy leanings toward Federation ships (in my opinion its natural because all the Star Trek series are on the Federations perspective), i dare say that there are indeed a few recent Non-Federation ships out there that are gorgeous, such as my personal favourite: x_TheUnknown_x's beatiful D'deridex released a few months ago, http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/TU_Romulan_Warbird;120381 and of course DJCurtis's Damar Cardassian cruiser, which is one of the most beautiful designs i have seen for Bridge Commander http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/DJ_Damar_class_cruiser;119058
But to me the problem is that there are no recent TNG, and Post Nemesis Klingon, and Gorn ships, and ones from Star Trek online are perfect to be put into Bridge commander. Anyways, cheers, to the future, may you have good luck in modeling. Perhaps you could help me make this into a reality someday

DJ, to be honest the Damar class is a Good design but it PALES in comparison to your Century, Galaxy and Athena. Even your current project is clearly going to far more detailed in hull pattern and details than the Damar. You do your best work on Fed ships like other best modders. But I fear Alien designs are ignored because there is less canon detil material to work from.

That's why I've dedicated a sizable amount money into getting the hardware and programs together to mod. If I ever get just half your skill at this my first order of business is Every Jem'Hadar ship in glorious detail, the Kazon Mother ship and Ohniaka Type III Borg ship. Rarely done designs. I know it's going to be tough but I finally have the resources to tackle it.

Saquist that sounds like a good idea, The Jem'Hadar attack ship is screaming to be rendered in exquisite detail. Again, may the gods of modding be fortunate for you. Well if you want, you could give the Vishap (Gorn) Frigate a try?

I'm not familiar with STO at all. I've never played it so I'm not quite sure which ship is which on Google. Can you help me out with some ortho plan views?

Edit: wow I'm not finding much on this ship in size or quantity. I need big images and as many different angles as you can get along with the straight ortho views like top bottom side front and rear.

This is the best i could do, forgive me for the UI, and for the Burgeoning Nebula class in the way, but the Top of the Vishap shows as you need. When i get a Defiant class i will be able to maneuvre closer to the ship. In the first picture it is in the bottom centre, and in the second, it is in the top right.
