The front cut out is a bit plain, I'd add something reminiscent of the torpedo tubes on the Akyazi, although, if you put too much detail in it they will look out of place, maybe you could give it an NX style deflector instead of the Saladin style mount.

Agreed. When I first glanced at it,that was the first thought in my mind as well. Would be a nice aesthetic to bridge the NX era, and suits the design better too IMHO.

Great job so far.

The only things I'd alter is dump the current deflector and but a NX style one in the saucer cut out and add a forward phaser emitters.

But liking where this is going.

TOS Ayazi class? I like it, are you going to use the Aztec pattern for this like the one for your TOS scout. I thought that was perfect.

he's got this set up as a Connie 3 type already, and a NX era-bridging deflector dish might look a bit out of place.  what about going up the middle and just plopping the deflector in the middle of the cutout without making it an NX dish?

Looking good G.

I actually like the deflector where it is... goes along the "TOS" theme. Putting a deflector in the cut out would definitely look good but not conform to TOS standards. I think photon tubes in the cut out are logical.

moed: I refer you to the Bonnaventure, a TOS done by wiley already (and it needs repairs!)

I never said there weren't any exceptions.

Besides, the Bonaventure was from what I understand a starfleet ship that was in service during the "transitional" period sometime between Enterprise and TOS so... I would assume that the deflectors on the front of saucers were phasing out maybe??

Thanks for the comments and sugestions.

I decided to combine the suggestions by moving the deflector to the cut out on the front of the saucer section (or what's left of it) and also tried to maintain the TOS era feel.  Also added forward phaser turrets as suggested by Baz and moved the photon tubes to the front of the command deck, as I have seen this torpedo configuration on other TOS designs.

Much better one small addition to the deflector I would recomend is adding the rectangle to the lower deflector housing same as the connie.

Very nice but... the edges of the cut out are just too sharp IMO.

I think if you want to make it more "correct" it needs softer edges here and there.

Otherwise, fantastic.
