One big problem
« on: June 10, 2012, 06:31:41 PM »
This has just started tonight. I try to go on to BC, Test Mode and normal, but it doesn't start. After several minutes of waiting, the computer shuts down. The last thing I put on the game was a Terran Constitution. I see no reason for the problems. Its on my external hard drive, but Homeworld, another game on the EHD is not affected. Could it simply be overuse? Or has it become corrupted in some way?

This also means I cannot make screenshots until the problem goes away... or the game is reinstalled :(

Can you please check the event viewer for BC related problems. And if you find anything post it here so that we may use this information to better troubleshoot.

by the event  viewer i presume you mean the ` button? I can't use it. As I said the game doesn't start. though now I think the problem is a romulan torpedo that i put in yesterday

as i said in the screenshot thread before i realised you made this thread, make another fresh install of the game elsewhere and copy the stbc.exe from that new install and replace the exe in your current screenshotting install with this new fresh one and see what happens. when a .exe file goes south on you its usually fails to even create a process, so it could just be that your current stbc.exe file is corrupt or dead.

and now both of you are banned from posting for the next 15 days for breach of site rules...

  • BCC does not support piracy, do not discuss piracy in any shape or form on these forums

here is a link to the thread that has all of BCC's rules...  become very familiar with them when your ban is lifted...
http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php/topic,1244.0.html

any breach in site rules again will result in a full permanent ban...
