And for my next trick, (and probably last with this design) I give you the USS Edinburgh.  This ship is designed for personnel transport, shuttlecraft, cargo and other logistic support for Starfleet operations.  A good deal of the expanded and hollowed out saucer section is dedicated to storage, bunks, and manufacturing facilities.  The basic design of the sensor pod is borrowed from the ship's cousins, but has been retooled to support additional deflector and tractor beam operations.

I like it, except for the single nacelle, which makes the ship look unbalanced. Maybe if you had the support split off in a Y configuration for two nacelles, it's work.

And that pod is ace!

Both Y and T configs would work nicely :)

I still think there should be at least 1 row of windows on the dorsal side of the saucer...

A couple of things:

I didn't go with the dual nacelles up top because I though that would basically just be the last ship but upside down.

Also, there is a ring on windows on the dorsal saucer now, differentiating this ship somewhat from the others.

Well, you could do a T configuration with the nacelles rotated 90 deg on their sides and then place install a weapons pod on top similar to that of a Nebula class, or maybe even an Apollo (http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8x0o7hLNn1rzu2xzo1_1280.jpg) that would have clearance over the bridge.

^ don't listen to them. This design is great. :D

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Eloi. All those ship design choices were perfect as is. Please don't take my sudden interest in the Ambassador Kitbash as a sign that I didn't approve of your designs. I just found that Amb/Neb intriguing. As for your ships, I love them all!

Love the single nacelle, it's fitting for the role of this ship.

Awesome work!

It's not an Ambassador kitbash though.

Sorry.... I was just merely giving a suggesting after seeing all the possibilities of various configurations that this design could have.

if you dont mind a suggestion in regards to the 1 or 2 nacelle decision (im not saying you should change it just wanted to tell you what i thought when i saw it) but how about (from the back view) rotating the single nacelle 45 or 90 degrees to the left then adding one to the other side of that single upright...but with almost no "pylon" so the 2 nacelles are very close to the centre line of the ship.

another variation id love to see would be a "Cheyenne" version, in fact id say the last one would make a base for that version :)

great work (damn you!)
