This morning Mark and I received a notice from Raven Night that nightsoft had started procedings to shut down Bridge Commander Network.

The company feel they want to take this action primarily because the name 'Bridge Commander Network' was bought by Nightsoft in 2002, additionally the company was not happy with our use of the SubBlack theme as used on BCU.

There was also some disucssion of "Anti BCU Rhetoric" on this site.

We have sent an explanation to the company that the site is using the theme temporarily during construction. Additionally we informed Raven that we were expecting to have to change the site name.

As such the site will be changing its name to "Bridge Commander Central". The new theme will be going in before friday also.

We trust that this will clear issues with the Nighsoft board, and hope that they will try talking before filing for "cease and decist" next time.

I liked the name too, and the old look of the forum...but I like this as well.

Just to be clear, I didnt invoke this, the morons I work with did (yes, I called them morons). I was trying to find a way to have these guys take over BCU. The staff took a peek at this site, saw some anti-BCU comments, brought it up to some of the board members, and all hell broke loose. After getting a nice ass chewing, I had to ask for these changes to get the stormtroopers to go back to sleep.

And a side note...just because they were filing a cease and desist does not mean they would have won.

At any rate, I like what you have done with the place.

even if they had have won they would have had to had me deported to get anything out of me, and that would have been funny lol.

But like i said at the top we were pretty much expecting that Bridge Commander Network would have to be changed at some point.

Well, things are solved, we all like the new theme, so there are no troubles, and no hard feelings.

Let?s just say, back to modding, which is the reason we all are here.

I like the theme, it's a lot brighter and more vibrant than BCU's

I'm finding it a damn side easier to read too.

No offence the bright yellow with the Dark text color hurts my eyes lol ThO i liek that except for the dark text color.

yep, make the lines not too bright but the text brighter. that way, you don't focus thatm uch on the lines but more on the text.
