				Hey guys,

I want to show you my newest baby, the Theseus Class :D

It is a small ship, a bit bigger than the Nova, and it is my design as a succsessor
for the Nova Class. The ship itself is "relative" low poly, all in all it has fairly exactly 6k
 Triangels.

Of course I don't have forgot my other ships, so I want to give you a small overview what has happened
 to them:

The textures of the Elysion are nearly done, I had to rebuilt the torpedo tubes, because they were much to small,
now I have to remap it a bit and texture them, and then the textures should be as good as finished :D

I have send the Mustang Class runabout to Fallen Warrior some time ago and he already begun to texture it.

The Acheron is a bit on ice, I want to texture it appropriate and at the moment I'm not exactly sure how to texture it,
 so that it looks good

Ok, but now some pics of the Theseus, let me know what you think about :D

 Attention, the pics are big!

Interesting design, the saucer section looks Century class-like

You've got the thumbs up from me  8)
-
				Looks awesome!

 *Attention! Cookie incoming!*

 :D
-
Awesome ship you have there, can't wait to add it to my BC install.

-
We're getting a TONN of 25th-Century starships! the Ancheron, Vivance, Century, Mithra, Theseus...one day, it would be awesome to have a 25th-Century pack one day. :3 Chyea yea. :P

-
defiently looks gd, and i can see the nova in the design as well as the century class, very nice, cookie coming your way  :D

-
I must say she looks great

-
Yes sir. :D She looks awesome.  Keep up the good work you're doing.

-
				cookie!
very nice work aagin, and nice to hear from your other projects as well, keep it up!!
-
				sweeet.

-
Man, I love everything about your ships.  The mesh is awesome with a conservative polycount, Big plus here.  The overall design is very starfleetish and flows perfectly with DJ Curtis' work.  Your texturing is great, and you take a lot of time perfecting your projects.

-
add the cheesy nacelle fins from the first one, the back ends of them nacelles seem to lack something...

-
Looks like a great and worthy successor to the Nova Class. Any chance for a version without the "cut-in" in the dorsal saucer, much like the Rhode Island is compared to the standard Nova?

Could make 2 ships out of 1 model that way:

 - Dual-deflectors: Science Vessel (aka Nova Class replacement)
 - Single-deflector: Destroyer (high-speed, high maneuvrability, slightly stronger weapons)

 It's an idea anyways :P
-
hasnt anyone noticed the deflector design.... As said before this is a perfect companion for DJs 25th century ships especially a certain one that shares a similar deflector design

-
I like this, pays homage to the Curtis line of ships WHILE being individual, something I like, a form of unison with other designs while looking different aswell.

-
Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it  :D

well, that much, I don't know it yet, but it isn't excluded
-
				Wow, that's one smooth design.

I love the torpedo tubes and impulse plancements, and I also noticed the "DJ Deflector."

Very nice ship dude, have a cookie.
-
				Very nice ship!

 Smooth lines.

Looks like a good successor to the Nova.
-
nice ship. the torpedo tubes seem to large , assume the windows are relativly close to the deck size of the ship.

-
				Looking great!

However, from the side, it looks kind of......stunted. How about shortening the Engineering Hull a little, seeing what it looks like? Just a suggestion ;).
-
add the cheesy nacelle fins from the first one, the back ends of them nacelles seem to lack something...

 Totaly agreed. :arms:
-
As tuvok would say: "We are not building a... 'hot... rod', mr.Paris."

Lol, ahh the hell with it! Hot rod this baby.  8)
-
i agree also - the nacelles from the first one would look much better on the ship...

-
First thanks all for the suggestions and comments :D

ok, I worked a bit on the torpedo tubes, they should have now the right size

As far as the nacelles, I have shortened them a bit and have done some texture work at them,
maybe I will change them a bit and add fins to them, I have to see how it looks and if I like it.

Nice... I'd like to see a hybrid of this ship and the Tiburon class soemday... Now that would be perfection... But this ship will do just fine for now...  :D

-
Texturing looks perfect thus far :D

-
I would say thin out the aft section a bit, at the moment its kinda... chubby and as a result it makes the ship look for lack of a better word 'diddy'

although that may just be me, other than that great job on the design and modeling/texturing thus far keep it up
-
				Nice.  :D

-
Very nice work once again rengers, the Theseus Class looks excellent. I especially like the nacelles they look strong and suit the ship well.

Infact they remind me a little of hanger bays from the Battlestar Galactica!!.

Anyways.... nice work, have a cookie for your efforts.  :D
-

 indeed! :)
-
Ooohh, I knew I forgot something.
 *cookies*

Is that a secondary deflector in the forward facing section of the saucer, an the dorsal. It looks like a cool place to put a shuttle bay.

-
I have a bunch of comments to share, but for now, I've just got to say that I really like the placement of the impulse engines.

thanks, constructive critisicm is always very welcomed, so please feel free to share it with me :D

given the small size of the ship,  i would say thats the "big window" of a ten foward/mess hall type room
-

I do to and grate work rengers.
 *Gives cookie*
-
Definitely a great looking ship!   Nice work!!

 :P

Yeah I agree, the bridge looks a bit to small compared with the windows, but other than that it looks great! :D
-
Thats how the nova was too though,
The windows around the main bridge were pretty large
-
isn't that whole big platform the bridge?

-
isn't that whole big platform the bridge?

 I was thinking that.
-
Curtis and Vortex are right, actually it was intended from me that the hole first deck is just the bridge and a captains room

-

I agree, perhaps just a little more like the intrepid?

 A bit like the Defiant?

I think this is looking really good so far. I know i'll DL it as soon as it comes out.
-
I'm gonna assume that the area indicated in my pic attached, is "Deck 1" which would include:

 Bridge
 Briefing Room
 Captains Ready Room

 and possibly

 Transporter Room 1

If my assumption is correct, doesn't that area need a few windows? :P
-
Yeah, there is deck 1, and there will be a few windows, but I'm not so far with texturing yet :P

-
and dont forget the aft torpedo bay Darkthunder.
Looking great Rengers. Adonis has taught u well
-
				a good design

-
We certainly do need small escort vessels cuz they're simply backbone of every fleet + we don't even have any decent nova so this is great idea and really good model ;) keep it up

-
Will this ship be around the same size as the Nova class or will it be a little larger?  I like the white hull color as well...definitely reminiscent of the 'Enterprise A's'  hull color.  Very clean and new looking.

-
thanks guys, to answer your question: she will is a bit bigger than the Nova, but not much!

Sorry for the lag of updates, but i wasn't able to work on my stuff in the last 2 weeks, I'm very busy with
school at the moment. But at the end of this week my timetable will be a bit discharged and I will have afresh
a bit more time to work on my ships :)
-
				WOOOOHOOOOO! *dances*
I wanna see this Theseus and your Ancheron ON MY DESK BY MORNING!
 ...as you were...

:P Lol, kidding. good to know you're getting back on track with these. The Ancheron and Theseus are my favs of all your ships, I think. I look forward to seeing how you do. ;)

 ~Aeries.
-
I think it's time for an update :P:

I wasn't very active the last few months, simply because im very busy. But now I
have entered summer holidays so I have a bit more time to work on my stuff.

so stay tuned for some updates within the next few weeks, and hopefully the finally
release of my Elysion Class :D

				nice!!

-
				Gorgeous!

-
Oh wow! I saw this on LU and I hadn't realised it was your Elysion (Theseus class-USS Elysion. How thick I am) in your sig.! I feel like an idiot.  :D

-
				Outstanding design.

Looks like a 2nd generation Nova.

 Awesome work.
-
great job i hope when you'll completely done you'll post and orthographic view of this great ship

-
Oh god, I want this ship now! It's cute!

-
WB Rengers shes looking great hit me up on messenger

-
I have to admit that i neglected this ship the last few months, but
I get back to it  :)

I finished the textures and ported the ship to max for lightmapping!
Also, I spend some polys to round some edges. The polycount climbed
a bit, but with 6,7k triangles the Theseus is still relative low poly :D

I also work atm on a little variant of the Theseus without the big
cut in on the top saucer. This will be just a variant, no refit, that
means, beside the cut in, the changes will be mainly on the hp, and
not that much on the model itself or the textures.

 Enjoy the pics :D

I had forgotten about this...awesome to see it back! And the little kid looks awesome too!

-
				excellent! :D

-
That is some of the best texturing work I have ever seen in the game. Congrats!

-
				Your skill is astonishing!

 This is quality work.

I look forward to blasting some Romulans away with this. 10/10

Watch out DJ and Wiley. You guys have a challenger!
-
Looks like teh Elysion's little sister. Awesome!  8)

-
Awesome! Or in German: geil!  :D

-
Hey Rengers, if I can make a suggestion...

There looks to be just one set of landing gear...perhaps add another set aft the warp core jettison.  it would balance the ship a bit more and not make it seem like a seesaw :P
-
thx for the positive feedback, it is much appreciated :D

damn, I have forgot to add the other set, lol. Thx for the hint! Of course that will be fixed
-
Sheer class mate, it looks fantastic  8)

-
Wow.  That's one detailed texture job.  You've really gone crazy with decals, huh?  :P

Kudos on the texture of the windows.  You had me fooled for a while, thinking that the small ones were modeled in!  The impulse engines look great, too.  I love their location and shape, and the texture job is top-notch.  Nice work!
-
Renger must be related to DJ Curtis someway, cause they both make awesome ships.

;) maybe there's a special gene for that. Like the Atlantian gene in Stargate.... :P
-
Naw, it's spreading like a virus. A Good virus though cause I noticed a lot of people picking up and modeling great ships. I just wish I could catch it -sucks at modeling-

-
thx guys, glad you like it :D

Like promised, here is a little Theseus-Variant, the U.S.S Lumarian.
Polycount is a bit lower then the Theseus and sits at 6,5k triangles.

The most diffrents between the Theseus and the Lumarian will be on the
hardpoint. The Lumarian will have a stronger hp, more torpedos and less
 sensor power then the Theseus.

Also I have fixed the bottom and added that other set of landing gears :)

-
I like this better than the Theseus for some reason.
 *cookie*
-
I like them both.... a lot!

 Excellent work.

 Cookie incoming.
-
nice design and great model, but I think the phaser strips could use a few more polies, since you can easily spot the single faces.

-
6.5k mate, thats impressive, nicely done  :)

-
ok guys, here are some ingame pics of her :D
I'm very pleased with her how she looks ingame. I feared that most of the details aren't
really visible ingame, but how you can see hopefully on the pics this isn't the case!

I nearly finished the hp on the Theseus, next will be the Lumarian. I will release them
both together with around 2-3 other ships with alternative registrys in a small pack.
Additionally I will release the Theseus also as a single ship, for those who don't want
to download the hole pack

 Enjoy the pics :D

-
Now that I look at her, she's an...interesting design. Sort of small and squashy in some places but graceful at the same time. Fat ballerina anyone? :P

-
Aside from the registery light on the saucer section in the latest set of pictures from the previous page, she looks brilliant.

-
You mean that blocky look Billz? Thats only cos it's on low colour depth mode. Check the nebula behind it and you can see similar blockiness

-
dalek is right, i forgot to set it the color depth to high on some of the pics.
 here is a better one
-
				Ah, much better.

-
				Neat little ship. :)

*waits for the obligatory "Little?" post*
-
Its looks real nice mate, great job on her

-
Nice but the thing about me is the Deflector Texture, I am gonna change it when I download it, no offense. But the Blue seems strong and stands out hard.

-
Thought I post some pics of the ships that are included in my little pack today:

The pack will features 5 ships, 3 original Theseus configurations and 2 Lumarian variants.
All ships have individual hp?s and all ships using some Ftech stuff, like multivectral shields
and the Lumarian variant ships are also equipped with an ablative armor.
There will be also one of my shuttle models included I made for my Acheron Class, kinda
 as a little preview :)
Fallen Warrior helped me also to improve my engines textures and I have done a new secondary
 deflector texture.

I have entered beta in the middle of last week and plan to release her probably next weekend
if there don't appear any major problems till then.

-
				some more pics

-
Hehe, she looks fabby Rengers. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the blank texture as well. :D

-
I'm not a big fan of the main ships', but the shuttles are great!

-
I like the baby type 11. XD

-
Loving both the shuttle, and the new variant. Heres to hoping a release is imminent :P

-
I love your sense of aesthetics.

With the proportions you use, these ships ought to look cartoonish, but they don't, they look more real to me than Church's Enterprise, which was supposed to convey "REAL" in it's design.
-
				Loking awsome my friend. awsome.

-

Why does everything turn into a debate on ST XI? Church's Enterprise still feels real to me.  Now that's the last comment I'm going to make on that.

I agree though, his sense of aesthetics is awesome.
-
Hey Rengers, just wondering if you're any closer to releasing this pack yet? Both the ships and shuttles look fantastic!

-
when he has any further info, he'll let all of us know :)
