Well, that prototype is now more than five years old, so who knows what it looks like now. The point is, it looks a lot better than the TOS weapon, above- despite the phaser being how many hundred years older?

It's unfortunate that we'll lose our sense of style in the next several hundred years- cuz this thing really looks fairly badass.  :arms:
