My critique:

Overall textures look ok, speculars look too checkerboard-like
- The under saucer sensor is way too lit up. Only the undermost dome should be lit.
Bussards look great when the system's light is shining directly on them, but everywhere else, the "little lights" in the bussard texture appear darkened (almost black).
Phasers and torpedoes not aligned properly.

Cookies to people who post some sexy screenshots - Yes im actually that much of a bc noob i dunno how to do them except the 5h1tty way of PRINT SCREEN lol

I'm guessing that the "shitty" way is printscreen then past into paint, right?  The old fashioned way?  I can save you a step, when you hit Print Screen, BC automatically saves them in a file in the BC directory.

I know the problem for the misaligned HPs, my system works VERY hard , when 2048 textures are use, makes it Hard for me to save any thin in MPE, but I got a set of 1024s from Lionus , that were in his download, and Here is the CORRECTED HP.

I think he means just as you suggests...it is quite CRAPPY when you do that.

If he's like me he wants edit function screenies :P

Suggested fix-lighten up the checkered look on the specmaps

- The under saucer sensor is way too lit up. Only the undermost dome should be lit.
Suggested fix-the alpha channel may not be "completely black" where it should be. Believe it or not, sometimes black aint really black.

Bussards look great when the system's light is shining directly on them, but everywhere else, the "little lights" in the bussard texture appear darkened (almost black).
Suggested fix- Increase alpha whiteness in these areas, or tone down the system lights. Could be video card specific issue too

Phasers and torpedoes not aligned properly.
Suggested fix-learn how to hardpoint properly :funny :D

hmm...he's got a point, course right now I'm buried in betas, and I wasn't looking THAT hard at the textures (I had to drop to the 512's...damn ancient graphics card).  I was busy trying to shrink textures so the game wasn't doing the "robot".

i must be one of the few who actually liked the specs (it gave the ship a "remasterd version" look)

I've been able to work out and fix the bussard problem, I actually realised what the problem was when I read the discription. The problem isn't with the export or graphics problems, it's actually to do with the bussards animation textures. The alpha channel is inverted to what it should be. With transparencies, the darker areas in the alpha channel are the areas which are more transparent in game. I hope you don't mind but I had a play around with them and came out with a decent look. Took a screenshot of the revised textures in the Void to show how they look.

Edit:Ive attatched a zip of the modified textures for you to download.

I just took a run at a couple of my weaker Cardies with a Federation class, Origins Enterprise, and my own TOS hardpoing job, the Reyes. Origins enterprise was laid waste to pretty quickly by an old mod, while my own hardpointing job only took 6 % damage to the dorsal shield (which makes me kinda proud of myself) she needs more than a hardpoint align, she needs a bit of beefing up

I use an Nvidia Graphics card and I set my Anisotropic filtering settings to 8x, and Antialaising to 4x.

Also you have to find some good star systems. I prefer the CJones 7 system.

I just right-mouse-click on my desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel and select Manage 3D settings.

Plus, I don't know what graphics card or computer you have.

Ok so most of the ships are working in game (the Apollo has a scripting issue I'm to tired to spot). All look ok just couple of glow bugs to fix.

I believe the registry on some of these ships is using the wrong font. But other than that, they look pretty sweet :)
