Aslan class. Let's blow sh*t up!
« on: July 30, 2011, 09:39:23 PM »
http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Aslan_class

This is so ridiculous I had to post.

I think the guy may have gone overboard...a bit...
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

boy, is THAT misnamed (and I think CS Lewis would be insulted to the point of calling a lawyer).  to me, it looks like an updated dominion bug ship.  btw, did you guys read further on?  the power core is the omega 13 device?!  excuse me while i laugh till I'm breathless.

Best lines evar:

Quote
Succeeded by: "Glorious Heritage" Heavy Assault cruisers
Andromeda anyone?

Quote
Command Structure: Fleet Captain: Perim (former), Captain (Executive) Michael Atreides (current)
Commander: Murrue Ramius (former), Nietzschean Ryan (current)
Used By: Peacekeepers, Asurans, Humans, Tau'ri, Travelers
I sense a bit of Dune, Gundam, and Stargate in there.

The now-growing ships were then merged into the following Gandalf-class Super-class ship.

living ship/s?
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Farscape. The ships were alive.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

OH! I remember this, when I first read it, I'd only watched Stark trek...and thought this was canon...then I watched Stargate.

But this has way to much Andromeda in it.

You have to admit thou, it's really detailed

But this one is so much better http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperion_class

Even more ridiculous - it has a corbomite device that throws back whatever is thrown at it -just like ol' pal Kirky!

Maybe more ridiculous - the Aslan launches these: http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/A26-11_Omega_Heavy_Sensor_Offensive/Defensive_Units

But this one is so much better http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperion_class

That one is really good but...this one takes the cake.

http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_class

This one is basically a Defiant, but has MVAM (WTF?), a crew complement of 25 (double WTF?), quantum slipstream, an armament of mass drivers, gauss cannons, "Lance Heavy Cannons", ion cannons, "Eagle's Talons turrets", "30mm Vulcan Cannon" (what is that? a cannon that launches 30mm Vulcans?), "60mm Warthog rapid-fire phaser", "240mm Archer howitzer" (as in the howitzers they used in WWI?), "RPG launchers", "Barracuda-T Creep AZP (Advanced Zero Point) Assault Concussion Missiles", "BGM/DA-109 Meteor Tactical Tomahawk Block IV cruise Missiles", Lantean drone weapons, more of those drone things I linked above, "RGU/IM-189 ESSM Harpoon VL-2MROC Block III Missiles", beam and pulsed phasers, Nova bombs (Andromeda again!), and photon, quantum and transphasic torpedoes.

QFT:
"The Legacy-class utilizes a special drive system which has been converted to focus Omega molecules through the Navigational Deflector Array at a Sub-Quantum level similar to how Quantum Slipstream works."

"The Legacy-class utilizes a impulse drive system which works by intaking chunks of subspace, detonating them, and directing the blast through a series of large afterburners and small RCS ports."

"Of course, all maneuvering takes place within a temporal warp field so it appears to teleport and move instantly."

"In relativistic terms, this new drive system is 10^999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 Tera Light Years/Ferro Second faster than any other known or projected Faster Than Light drive system."

I edited and rewrote most of these two so now they're decent -shrugs- : http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Invincible_class & http://memory-gamma.wikia.com/wiki/Yamato_class
Farscape. The ships were alive.

Also 8472 and Vorlon...it's a mix of all three!

i honestly dont know wether or not to feel sorry for some of these designs... or laugh myself into a coma... probably both

Ridiculous.  Reminds me of my early ship concepts.  Like REALLY early.  God-ships.  Pfeh.  What's amazing is that my one design that I always go back to started out as a kitbash of oversized Connie parts, Galaxy, and Intrepid parts.  Then became a six nacelled Prometheus/Sovvie variant, then I cut out two of the nacelles, then finally became a slightly larger than an Intrepid, but smaller than a Sovereign, cruiser that took some design elements from the Jem'hadar(mainly the basic shape of the warp nacelles) and the Romulan Norexan-class(mainly inspired the embedded impulse drives in the pylons) and the rest is based on the Sovereign.  Meant to be a quick and powerful escort, but unlike the Defiant-class, traded an abundance of weaponry for slightly less powerful shields.  She's meant to hit hard and dodge.  Punch and weave tactics.  Back story for it is that it served as a testbed for weapons systems that later became standard on ships like the Enterprise-E, such as the rapid fire phaser emitters and quick-firing photon tubes.

To Boldly Go...Again.
