Awesome, well done DJ.

Seems rather large for a ship like that, though. I always imagined her to be a bit smaller, like equal or lesser than the Akira. Still, that's pretty cool. What'll her role be, do you think?

Would like to point out that the estimated size of the Akira Class is around 465 meters (according to DITL), which makes the Raptor a smaller ship then the Akira, albeit slightly ;)

I've actually been working on this ship a little, especially adding some cool modeled on details.  It's driving up the count a tad, but the additions make the ship look cooler overall though, I think.

okee, by popular demand, here's a brief update.

I didn't change the shape at all, just added some details, mostly along the spine, though there are a few little things done to the saucer and underside of the secondary hull as well.  You can also see I've started working on more textures.

I'm really liking this, your attention to detail is superb.
Of particular note is your attention to detail on the mount where the pod will me (I recall a post regarding a pod that will be mounded on this?)

In any case, superb work. Perhaps, too, the undersides of the Nacelle Pylons may need some little details? Maybe you just haven't gotten that far, yet... :P

Well, she's an excellent addition to BC, and she fits in perfectly with your other ships.

Lovely work on the texturing so far, and I really like the details on the spine.  I do have a question, on the sides of the secondary hull, near the back where it curves up into the spine, there is some kind of extrusion from the hull on each side, what is that?

Very nice work DJ, I really like the new hull details and the new positioning of your regs, perhaps each separate dorsal registry could have a separate alpha channel glow coming from the center of the saucer!?.

I do have a "minor" comment regarding the mesh. Looking at the ship from the underside in the third pic, the nacelle pylons look a little bit long to me, which makes them more vulnerable too. Maybe shortening them by 15-20% would make the ship look even better and more compact at the same time.  :D

If your happy with thats all that matters of course, just me nitpicking again!!

great start on the texturing, and the added details do really add a lot more character to the ship.

good work.
