They looked more like bats to me Aeries.  :P

Depending on if your theaters are showing it on the 7th, one week remains.

they have 12 tv spots now for the new movie.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Thats quite funny, having the JJPrise flying through the "o" in Lost. And the Enterprise comes out from it at a different angle before going into the warp drive scene in the trailers.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

They must have taken it down, the link doesn't work.

Also, I ordered my tickets for Next Friday. My local theatre was showing it at 7pm on Thursday, but my dad works that day.

Certainly seems like they did.

I can't get stupid Fandango to work right...why can't they just go through PayPal like every other civilized website??

Maybe because 'PayPal' is about as secure as say, a screen-door on a submarine perhaps?

'PayPal' and 'Fandago' are worthless. I am telling you this for the safety of your identity and your bank account that it is much safer to buy your ticket in person rather than online, through Fandago or otherwise.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Its not live anymore but some pretty cool tidbits on there.

I know many who've never had problems with Paypal. That argument is about as valid as the whole "Microsoft are evil" thing...

I can't seem to find anything about that episode of Lost with the Trek reference on Youtube or anything. Why would they have removed it? :/

Same reason it would've been taken off YouTube, if it ever made it up there.

Its because ABC/Buena Vista/Disney/whatever do not want episodes of LOST or even small parts of episodes of LOST uploaded on the internet for free. Unfortunatly, that includes the Star Trek XI intro tidbit that was put on that episode of LOST. Paramount have the same policy so I don't see them challenging ABC/Buena Vista/Disney about it.

Doesn't matter if it's just a clip or not, if Paramount or whoever it is that does Lost doesn't want it up on YouTube, away it goes.

Also, a new clip showing George Kirk as Captain of the USS Kelvin. His wife is in labor, the ship is has taken so much damage that it has to be flown manually, the viewscreen is a window, and engineering is all industrious like the Enterprise. Awesome. :D

George Kirk- "All hands, this is the Captain speaking- evacuate the ship immediately."

EDIT: The clip starts at 54 seconds.

I hate the look of Main Engineering on the Kelvin and the Enterprise.

Making it look like a waterworks warehouse just makes me realize where cost-cutting has affected the production badly.

I like the engineering... looks lots closer to the TOS one and still makes it look older.

in TOS there was never a true warp core....

At least it didn't look like the inside of pipeworks though like in the new movie.

It looks just plain ridiculous.

I mean, seriously, how does it go from looking this cool (http://img.trekmovie.com/images/st09/tv10/01.jpg) on one part of the ship to looking this crappy (http://img.trekmovie.com/images/st09/tv10/05.jpg) on another part of the same ship?

Even the scale gives it a screwed up feel. That engineering 'room' looks huge. Engineering was never that big in the original series. This new engineering gives the new Enterprise a sort of TARDIS feel (one room being bigger on the inside then the outside).

PS: I lol'ed at Chris Pines face in that picture I linked to above

Can't wait for 2014 to start.
