Thanks, Jimmy.  :)

just a little note for everyone, since I got another job, I *should* be able to rebuild my computer sometime soon... two weeks or so, but it really depends. Even if I *do* lose the Mithra, it'll just give me another excuse to start it over again. Even with this third revision, I am/was not THAT happy with it. I never will be, until it reaches "DJ" standards, lol. Anyways, please be patient everybody. :) I'll find a way.

In the mean time, since I WILL be accessing the site for updates and all, I would love ideas for a new class name, ship specifications, etc. These sorts of things help me out a LOT in the design process, as I like to absorb other's thoughts and opinions and mold them with my own. Like the Borg. Only I'm 186.4872% hotter than them... with more fashion sense. (insert 'lol' here)

Well i'm currently in the process of catalogue-ing all the ships that have ever been in star trek along with their registry, class, when it was launched, is it sill in service? etc. So when i'm done i could send you the Excel file. It might be some help in finding a name and class since there are some unknowns in the list. I should be done in a couple of days  :D :D

S**ew it, I'm keeping the current class name...

Just wanted to mention that my new computer is up and running, though I'm having some major difficulty with the video card's driver software, possibly due to Vista's constant wining and complaining. It's a shame, given the card that it is... anyways, probably Gonna ditch Vista, most likely. Go back to xp.

I just wanted to mention that I hope to be getting back to the Mithra by Friday, at which point, I may be partnering with Lint to help me smooth out some of these frackin' smoothing issues and stuff. So, I really hope to finally be getting this project kick-started by then.

Caio for now!!!

-Aeries.

Edit: I saved most of my data drives, though one of them is destroyed. T_T Had a lot of good stuff on that one... *cue "amazing grace"* Anyways, the Mithra is in tact. so I didn't lose her yet. Just in case, I'm going to back her up to portable media at some point... probably my flash drive, once xp's back on. :)

Thanks for reading, guys. :)

Thanks, Intrepid! :)

So my system is running a lot better already, under xp. It'll take me some time to update everything and make sure these drivers aren't going to slaughter themselves like they did under vista. :/

So, I'm pleased to say that I may get back on-track with the Mithra much sooner than I'd originally thought. I'll keep you all appraised, as I think tonight will be hella productive. :D

:dance Today has been a good day for updates! It's great to hear you're back up and running, and that you're keeping the class name (I was always a fan.)

Heh, I could've told you that Vista was a memory hog.

Glad to hear that the Mithra survived, but sorry about the rest of your stuff, that really sucks.

well, she's got a good history so far.  Surviving a computer apocalypse.  Should make for a tough ship.

The Mithra's been shipped off to Lint, who's working on cleaning up my mess while I wait to get a new graphics card. No, literally though... It was a mess. Like... hella. Here, take a look for yourself.

1. Before.
2. After.

Notice the removal of saucer details...? Had to be done. Really. This thing freaking sucked.
I now don't care how hard it may be for me to grasp at first... I'm sticking with Max form this point forward. >:[

Anyways, a thousand thanks to Lint. Lesson, on my part, thoroughly learned. :)

I can see where the saucer needed to be cleaned up.  A lot of the details that were removed can be textured in.

Actually, most of the removed details are rather major, and would look like crap if I tried to texture them... (window portholes, torpedo bays, etc...) But Lint is doing an absolutely fantastic job fixing my crud work, and I think once I transfer to Max, it'll all be good.
