your mithra looks great, but i think and i may not be the only 1 that thinks this but some of that armoured look could have been achieved with some clever texturing, but still it does look mean 

You might be able to but I doubt it would look half as good close up for POTD's. Anyway this looks absolutely brilliant Aeries. Another cookie for you.

Wiley's working on the 'clothes' as I type. I won't post anything yet, but I must mention that his textures are working out very nicely. And about the history... you'll have to wait and see what I conjure up. I have a few interesting ideas. ;)

But I think it would look a little bit better if the sensor pod was positioned a bit more forward.

So this is the sensor variant.  My opinion is that it looks a little squarish, and should be sloped forward more (like the nebula class).  Also, at the point of me texturing this ship, it would be best if you just send me just the additions, not the whole ship.  This would greatly reduce extra mapping.
