I prefer the current engines, they give the ship a slender/peaceful look while also saying don't mess with me!  :shock:

Brilliant work so far, and the saucer/stardrive connection looks a lot better now.

i like both designs both the revisiond and the m4. maybe creating separate hps for them as different outfits (different weapons, sensors,etc...) for a set of the ships, maye even make one thats missing part of the systems since it was fored into duty before it was ready like the nx-01...

This is looking great! Excellent work.

The latest nacelles IMO are so far the best, but I'd have to say that they do need some more "fine tuning". I think the front ends are a bit too pointy. And some more "nurnie" detailing would accentuate them nicely.

whats the height of this beauty??
those seperatre parts on the saucer look too extreme imo,
make them rise continously, just as a suggestion, dont know what you, and the pothers think about it..

I agree on the height thing, pull down that top section a little bitty bit, and I think that the nacelles need to be pulled back a little bit, or made shorter.  They just seem a bit too close to the saucer.  The shape is great looking though.

Lol, funny how almost all of your suggestions just flow with what I've been doing. I'll have a couple renders in a few moment's time. I'll edit this post with the additions shortly. ;)

I'll let the pics speak, for the most part. Of particular note is the secondary hull and nacelles; I've lengthened them in the aft section to sleek the Mithra out a bit instead of beign a short and stubby old girl. otherwise... Eh, the rest is obvious, too. Enjoy. Further C&C appreciated.

I love it!  I really do.  The only things I would change are two... make the standouts on the lower saucer shallower, and find a way to blend the front of the drive section into the saucer.

Thanks!! The standouts are pretty easy to adjust... I think I have a really cool idea for molding the forward drive section into the saucer better... yeah, yeah I think it'll work!


Anywho, other than these adjustments, all I gotta do is finish up weapons' placements and polish up the armor. Is 21k polies okay? If not, I think I can lower it a smidge.

This looks amazing, all though i would suggest tucking the nacelles in to make it look more streamlined, cept thats up to you, this really looks fantastic =D

Thanks, guys! I'm SO glad this has turned out so much better than before... Practice does seem to make perfect in the long run... I've learned so much, and looking back at all the old models... heh... I have to admit, I've startled myself. Oh my GOD, everything is just going SO well since I moved, I'm just... AAHHHH, I'm SO happy!

So now I have a question for all of ya, particularly DJ since this is originally designed around your Delta-3 set. I've only modelled on four forward torpedo launchers , one aft launcher and two phaser arrays so far. I'm wondering what you think her armaments should be, before I actually start major work on them? The same as the previous model, with achilles-on-steroids weaponry, or do you think I ought to go for a different role this time around? Just asking; I just want to make this the best possible ship she can be, so all the feedback I can get would be simply awesome. I also have to read up on your Century Class bio, so I can get an idea for the Mithra's background and development process... I haven't spent almost five and a half months designing and developing her just to let her go without a story.

I'm most impressed by your modelling skills improvements in fact I envy you cuz I $$$uck with  modelling unfortunalety ( I recently draw a model by hand but I won't be able to build it tho I'm learning to ) if you'll need any help with textures you know who to ask ;)

Myself personally i feel this ship looks more like a successor to the Akira class, so i would advise a more torpedo based armament =)
